The Master of Science in Global Studies and International Relations is an interdisciplinary degree that will prepare you to meet the challenges of globalization. Classes focus on the work you would do in the field such as analyzing the investment portfolios of developing nations, managing crises, and crafting speeches for embassy officials. You'll narrow your study to one of five concentrations and choose one of six major world regions as your focus, working with our distinguished faculty of policymakers, diplomats, and global educators as you prepare to step onto the world stage. Participate in the Diplomacy Lab and explore real-world challenges while contributing to the policy-making process in conjunction with the U.S. State Department.  If you choose our optional International Field Study Experience, you'll serve abroad as a consultant for a global organization as it works to solve a real-world business challenge.

The Master of Professional Studies in Digital Media-Connect is designed for students seeking a career change into digital media. The STEM-designated program offers you core courses in visual communications, programming foundations, and web creation to provide the underpinning for expertise as you gain the essential knowledge required for the main Master of Professional Studies in Digital Media curriculum. With concentrations in 3D animation, game design, digital video, social media, digital media management, and interactive design, you’ll be able to focus your studies on what interests you most. For your final capstone project, you’ll work with a faculty advisor or a small, focused team to channel your passion into a project that provides tangible evidence of your new skills and abilities.

To prepare you to effectively manage regulatory activities, Northeastern University’s College of Professional Studies offers the Master of Science in Regulatory Affairs. This unique graduate degree is STEM-designated, and is designed to deepen your understanding of the global compliance requirements for the development, marketing approval, and utilization of technically complex and highly regulated products, including food, drugs, biologics, and medical devices.

Concentrations

• Biopharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs—Learn how to apply statuses to the submission of marketing approval applications for both pharmaceutical and biological products to global regulatory agencies.
• Clinical Research Regulatory Affairs—Provide practical knowledge of regulatory requirements and methodologies for clinical human and animal research to support biomedical product development.
• Medical Device Regulatory Affairs—Learn how to apply statutes of the submission of marketing approval applications for medical device products to global regulatory agencies.
• Nonclinical Biomedical Product Regulation—Study the regulations applicable to biomedical product commercialization from pre-clinical development, quality, and manufacturing perspectives.
• Quality Assurance and Compliance—Study the application of standards and regulations to the development and commercialization of either healthcare or food products.

The Master of Science in Project Management prepares you to drive innovation in your organization by giving you the skills and tools to effectively lead volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous projects from inception to completion in global markets. Accredited by the Project Management Institute’s Global Accreditation Center for Project Management Education Programs (GAC), our curriculum has a two-pronged approach that provides the foundational knowledge of scientific-based project management tools, organizational strategies, and theoretical concepts, coupled with the opportunity to deepen subject matter expertise through targeted concentration work and innovative project management concepts.

The Master of Science in Human Resources Management program is designed to prepare students to make the connection between an organization’s strategy and its people. Available in two learning formats – on-ground in Boston and 100% online, the program focuses on emerging human resource competencies and skills needed to navigate the evolving human resources field, including the transformational impact of technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data.

The Master of Science (MS) in Bioinformatics seeks to provide students with core knowledge in bioinformatics programming, integrating knowledge from the biological, computational, and mathematical disciplines. Upon completion, students are equipped to apply bioinformatics and computational methods to biological problems. Students in the MS program have the opportunity to gain professional work experience via co-op.

The program consists of core course work in computational methods, programming, and statistics, enhanced by electives in molecular biology, biochemistry, molecular modeling, web development, database design and management, data mining, and other related topics.
