With the Master of Science in Corporate and Organizational Communication, you'll build in-demand skills as you learn to craft strategic approaches to complex communication challenges. Our instructors—communications leaders in the business and nonprofit sectors—will offer you an inside look not only at how best to design and deliver compelling messaging but also at how to measure the impact of your strategies. You’ll also create an ePortfolio that synthesizes learning across the curriculum and promotes your professional brand. Through co-ops and consulting assignments that culminate in a capstone project, you’ll learn the art of effective communication with employees, customers, investors, and other audiences as you hone your skills with a new set of tools to persuade, inform, and inspire.

As the workforce continues to diversify, leadership tasks and responsibilities have become more complex. Leveraging students' interdisciplinary backgrounds, this program combines real-world lessons with an experience-driven learning approach to build and strengthen your leadership capabilities to cultivate, lead, manage, and inspire teams.

You can focus your studies through one of six concentrations, including our new coaching concentration. In your classrooms, you’ll learn from faculty experts who bring a wide array of experiences from careers in business consulting, executive coaching, the U.S. military, and more. And you’ll join an alumni network of more than 1,900 leadership professionals who work at renowned organizations such as Massachusetts General Hospital, Bank of America, the Mayo Clinic, and national universities.

The Master of Science in Commerce and Economic Development provides the knowledge and tools to confidently guide private and public decision-making in the context of increasingly borderless global markets. The program provides in-depth knowledge of the financial, regulatory, and economic environments and institutions that affect the global economy, applying the lens of applied economics to help you develop and hone skills that include: quantitative methods in economic theory, policy analysis, and research; data collection and interpretation; the evaluation of pricing, output levels, and labor markets; and the analysis of the impact of art, culture, and environmental resources on economic development. Your training is capped by an experiential placement that synthesizes classroom learning and hands-on application, harnessing real-world problems to help you to bring theory to life.

In this program, you’ll take a multi-disciplinary approach to learning, creating well-rounded and sought-after innovators primed to utilize data and AI to inform domain-specific business decisions. Combining the disciplines of applied machine learning and artificial intelligence, data management, data analysis, and data visualization, a Master of Professional Studies in Applied Machine Intelligence teaches you to solve business problems within the rapidly growing field of artificial intelligence.

The diverse concentrations of healthcare, finance, human resources, and business ventures are a direct reflection of the AI value potential in these categories. Our program empowers students to apply AI models and algorithms to a chosen industry and focuses on the interpretation, operationalization, contextualization, and implementation of AI.

With a modular curriculum, you can easily customize your learning activities and experiences across multiple contexts both online and on-ground. Plus, you can earn your degree in less than two years.

The Master of Sports Leadership prepares you for a variety of sport-related occupations—whether it’s working with a professional or intercollegiate sports team, with a fitness club or wellness organization, or in marketing, communications, or sports management. In this program, developed in collaboration with Northeastern’s Center for the Study of Sport in Society, you’ll refine and develop your leadership abilities as you examine the relevant social and business issues and hone your analytical and organizational skills. You can choose to focus on professional or collegiate athletics, eSports, or analytics, and you’ll get real-world experience through your program.

The Master of Professional Studies in Digital Media-Connect is designed for students seeking a career change into digital media. The STEM-designated program offers you core courses in visual communications, programming foundations, and web creation to provide the underpinning for expertise as you gain the essential knowledge required for the main Master of Professional Studies in Digital Media curriculum. With concentrations in 3D animation, game design, digital video, social media, digital media management, and interactive design, you’ll be able to focus your studies on what interests you most. For your final capstone project, you’ll work with a faculty advisor or a small, focused team to channel your passion into a project that provides tangible evidence of your new skills and abilities.

The Master of Science in Global Studies and International Relations is an interdisciplinary degree that will prepare you to meet the challenges of globalization. Classes focus on the work you would do in the field such as analyzing the investment portfolios of developing nations, managing crises, and crafting speeches for embassy officials. You'll narrow your study to one of five concentrations and choose one of six major world regions as your focus, working with our distinguished faculty of policymakers, diplomats, and global educators as you prepare to step onto the world stage. Participate in the Diplomacy Lab and explore real-world challenges while contributing to the policy-making process in conjunction with the U.S. State Department.  If you choose our optional International Field Study Experience, you'll serve abroad as a consultant for a global organization as it works to solve a real-world business challenge.

The Master of Professional Studies in Analytics trains you to discover, interpret, and effectively communicate data to help organizations make informed decisions. Focused on skills you can readily apply on the job, our program will build your knowledge of statistics and mathematics, analytics systems technology, business intelligence, business process management, analytics agility, data leadership and governance, and policy and ethics. You'll have the opportunity to work with a sponsoring organization to expand your professional network and get hands-on experience in everything from data extraction to the translation and implementation of data analysis. In the process, you’ll explore the implications of analytics on a local, national, and global scale, learn to defend ideas with data, and build a portfolio to showcase your skills.
