The Rowan University Chemical Engineering Program is a student-centered, primarily undergraduate program that incorporates leading-edge educational methods and technology with engineering practice. We prepare students for careers in the global chemical process industry and related fields, and for advanced degree study. Our program provides students with a strong foundation in chemical engineering science and design, and emphasizes the development of effective communication and teaming skills, and professional responsibility in preparation for a career in a diverse global workforce. Throughout the curriculum, students are exposed to chemical engineering methods using hands-on, state-of-the-art experiments, modern computer tools, and problem synthesis and solution approaches. Our Master of Science (M.S.) in Pharmaceutical Sciences prepares you for a career in the highly interdisciplinary field of pharmaceutical sciences. The field of pharmaceutical science involves the integration of concepts from organic chemistry, biochemistry, physiology, pharmacology, and molecular biology for the design, and synthesis of drugs as well as for understanding the mechanism of drug action. As a practitioner in this field, you may work on the discovery and development of novel drugs, creating efficient use of existing drugs, and lowering the cost of therapy employing less expensive protocols for manufacturing drugs.

Sustainable Business Concentration

Our M.A. in Writing encourages you to explore the principals of craft and the practices of writing. As a graduate student, you have the opportunity to focus on a central area of interest or create a diverse course of study that explores the intersections between creative writing, professional writing, new media, journalism, writing studies, and writing pedagogy.

Our program appeals to many creative professionals, such as:

• Creative writers interested in writing and publishing fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, writing for children and young adults, or other genres
• Educators who currently teach K-12 or who wish to teach writing on the college level
• Professionals who write regularly at work or who aspire to writing-related careers
• Students who wish to prepare for advanced graduate work leading to the M.F.A. or Ph.D.

The Management degree prepares students for meaningful positions in management by providing them with a foundation for career growth. The management program is designed to provide a strong foundation in both traditional and innovative management skills in the areas of leading and supervising others, communicating clearly, and being able to analyze and solve organizational problems using both quantitative and qualitative information. It includes traditional classroom instruction, simulations, "real world" internships, lectures by management practitioners and working with academic advisors to develop and implement a course of study which meets each student's individual needs.

Students enrolled in the management program are expected:

• To learn important concepts, skills and techniques focused on leading and supervising other workers
• To be able to collect and evaluate relevant information - ethical, quantitative and qualitative - necessary to solve organizational problems;

The Department of History at Rowan University delivers high-quality instruction and advising to both undergraduate and graduate students. Our faculty produce nationally and internationally recognized research and possess chronologically and geographically diverse specialties in areas such as the ancient Mediterranean, early modern Europe, colonial Africa, colonial North America, the Middle East, Russia, the Far East, and the modern United States.

Molecular and Cellular Biology focuses on the study of the processes that govern living organisms. Comprehensive curricula cover theory and laboratory methods, allowing students to carry out and understand molecular and biomedical research. The program provides students a solid foundation in the life sciences preparing them for careers in the highly competitive health professions programs such as medical school, dental school, and pharmacy school, nursing, biotechnology and pharmacuetical industry positions.
