Emphasis - General Program
The B.S.E.E. with general emphasis provides broad training in basic and engineering sciences and fundamental knowledge of electrical engineering. The general emphasis provides greater flexibility for a student to choose 14 credit hours of technical elective courses from a breadth of electrical engineering topical areas.

The M.S. in engineering science is offered in a number of emphasis areas: aeroacoustics, chemical engineering, civil engineering, computational hydroscience, computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, electromagnetics, environmental engineering, geology, geological engineering, hydrology, mechanical engineering, material science and engineering, and telecommunications.

Emphasis - Mechanical Engineering
A M.S. in engineering science with emphasis in mechanical engineering prepares a student with advanced technical knowledge and communication skills for pursuing a career in industry, engineering research and development, public service, or for doctoral work.

The M.S. in mathematics is designed primarily for students who are attracted to mathematics as a major scholarly pursuit, including students who plan eventually to work toward the doctorate in this field. The M.S. degree also prepares students who are looking for professional careers in mathematics, either as teachers or as research mathematicians.

The Master of Taxation program offers graduate-level accounting education for students who plan to pursue careers in taxation. Students take five required accountancy and taxation courses, two taxation electives, two accountancy electives, and one non-accountancy elective to complete this program. While there are no required data analytics courses, students will gain knowledge of data analytics in some required coursework.

The M.S. in biological science prepares a student for various academic, industry, or government professional positions that involve freshwater biology, medicine, education, molecular genetics, ecology and conservation biology.

The Master of Music is an advanced professional degree designed to develop a particular area in music to a high level of specialization. The university offers the M.M. with the following emphases:

The M.M. degree with an emphasis in music theory is an advanced professional degree designed to give the student a broad research background while also providing a 24-credit specialization. A thesis is required.
