The Master of Music is an advanced professional degree designed to develop a particular area in music to a high level of specialization. The university offers the M.M. with the following emphases:

• Performance in woodwind, brass, string, or percussion instruments, piano, and voice;

The M.M. degree with an emphasis in choral conducting is designed to give the student advanced training in choral conducting and score study and/or prepares him/her for study at the doctoral level.

What Will You Learn?

By studying Arabic at the University of Mississippi, you'll learn the language, linguistics, literature, and culture of the Middle East and North Africa. Gain the cultural awareness and intellectual strategies necessary to navigate the interconnected and multicultural world in which we live.
