Public Health

Geology
Geology is the science that deals with the Earth's physical structure and substance, its history and the processes that act on it. The Geology major focuses on a wide variety of topics that include materials of the Earth (minerals and rocks) and processes that affect them, as well as the evolution of life and its relationship to Earth materials and processes. These processes can include the formation of rocks, mountains and volcanoes, wind and water.Geologists utilize chemistry, biology and physics to investigate environmental issues, hydrocarbon accumulations, natural hazards, water quality and availability, ores and valuable minerals and natural disasters. The Russian language is used throughout the world and is one of the five official languages of the United Nations. As such, a Russian major is beneficial for those wishing to work in international affairs. The major includes studying the Russian language, culture and history. Child and Family Studies
The Child and Family Studies (CFS) program at Baylor University focuses on the development of individuals and families as they grow and change. Apparel Design and Product Development
The Apparel Design & Product Development curriculum develops students into professionals that will be successful in both the domestic and international marketplace. Fashion design is the development of apparel, textile and consumer products that meet the needs of specific consumer markets. Students develop an understanding of these needs through the study of consumer behavior, demographics and psychographics. Apparel Design courses are both creative and high technical. The Theatre Performance major is ideal for students wanting to pursue professional careers in acting and directing. The curriculum provides holistic training in all aspects of theatre arts with an added primary focus on performance.
