Computer Science
The department of Computer Science offers a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) as well as a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in computer science. One of the strengths of the computer science program is the balance between theory and practice. Education - Spanish All Level
The All-Level Spanish Education program prepares students to teach Spanish in grades K through 12. Graduates of the All-Level Spanish Education program earn a Bachelor of Science in Education (B.S. Ed.) with certification in Spanish Education. Supplemental certification may be added in English as a Second Language. Students of All-Level Spanish Education do not have to be fluent in Spanish prior to starting the major.

The Physical Education major prepares students for teaching or coaching grades K-12. This degree program satisfies the requirements for the Texas Teachers Certification and prepares students to teach grades K-12 with an emphasis in coaching in either a private or a public school setting. Baylor's Aviation Sciences program propels you into an aviation career, whether in the skies or on the ground. The degree provides a balance of aeronautical theory and application combined with technical education. Available courses include:

The Aviation Sciences major (Professional Pilot Concentration) is specifically designed for students wanting a career as a pilot (Airplane or Helicopter). Be aware that there are a limited number of flight slots for pilot students and so admission to the Professional Pilot Concentration is limited and competitive.

Professional Writing and Rhetoric

Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (M.S.M.E.) program, The M.S.M.E. is 30 semester-hour graduate programs comprising 24 hours of graduate course work and a 6-hour research-oriented thesis. A non-thesis option is available, comprising 27 hours of coursework and 3 hours of MS Project.

Applied Music
The music major is for serious musicians who are resolute about pursuing new frontiers and not afraid to challenge musical conventions. Education - Middle Grade Science
The Middle Grades Education Program is ideal for students who are eager to work with growing minds and daily changes. When teaching middle grades students, who are discovering who they are and what they want to do with their lives, there is rarely a dull moment in the classroom. The program prepares highly qualified teachers that will earn a Bachelor of Science in Education (B.S. Ed.) with a specific subject in 4-8 certification. The Risk Management and Insurance major (designated as a pre-major) focuses on identifying financial and economic characteristics of risks to which firms and individuals are exposed and developing effective strategies for managing such risks. Available courses include:

Environmental Studies
The Environmental Studies major explores the interactions between human societies and the environment. The coursework investigates a variety of systems is the study of human interaction with the environment. The coursework discusses a variety of systems - political, economic and ecological - and their connections with the environment. The issues range from pollution and regulation to urbanization, agricultural development and climate change. Available courses include:

The Environmental Studies major is offered with concentrations in either Environment and Society or Natural Resources Management. Students are encouraged to take part in internships and research opportunities with faculty. Graduates are well prepared for positions in environment consulting firms and regulatory agencies. Other graduates pursue postbaccalaureate study in law, environmental planning and natural resources management.
