The World Language Education (WLE) program integrates education and language courses. Your foreign language education degree will prepare you to teach kindergarten through 12th grade in a variety of urban and suburban education settings, including public and private schools.

As part of this program, you will take language courses from the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences and education courses from the College of Education. You will earn a BA from the College of Education, and concentrations are offered in Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish.

In the Management Information Systems (MIS) program, you’ll learn both the business and technological foundations of information systems management. DePaul’s undergraduate MIS degree program will prepare you to pursue a variety of careers requiring both business and technological skills.

As you earn your MIS degree, you will

• Acquire a broad understanding of information technologies and the information systems life cycle as they apply to business processes
• Gain the ability to identify organizational data
• design and manipulate databases
• Integrate technical knowledge with an understanding of business operations

The Master of Music in performance degree prepares students for professional music careers in a supportive, collegial environment.  Graduate students study with highly celebrated performers who are committed to teaching excellence.  The graduate performance program consists of applied lessons, ensembles, core studies in music theory/history and research, and related studies.  The Master of Music degree is a two year program.

Our MBA in healthcare management program teaches you to use decision-making algorithms that apply data to economic models. Your courses will focus on economics within the health care sector — an industry that accounts for more than one-fifth of the U.S. economy.

Earn your master’s in International Studies and develop a complex, informal perspective on global inequality. This academically rigorous, thesis-optional program, grounded in critical theory, focuses on themes of power and global systems. We’re dedicated to building a community of scholars and researchers who demonstrate a commitment to questioning power and politics in a way that bridges theory and practice.

The Secondary Education program prepares you to teach 9th through 12th grade in a variety of urban and suburban education settings, including public and private high schools. You can graduate with a State of Illinois license to teach designated subject-area content (listed below). The program also provides you an opportunity to receive a Diploma Year Program Award (IB certification) to teach in International Baccalaureate schools world-wide.

As part of the secondary education major, you’ll learn educational theories and effective teaching practices, including how to design and implement curriculum; participate in extensive field experiences at multiple schools, and student-teach for 10 weeks.

DePaul's Master’s in Artificial Intelligence will prepare you for a successful career in this fast-growing field. You will gain advanced technical skills and a deep understanding of concepts and techniques in artificial intelligence and machine learning to build and support AI empowered systems. Discover how to create complex intelligent systems and integrate AI techniques into existing applications and processes, by exploring relevant technical areas including natural language processing, big data systems, computer vision, image processing, robotics, and cybersecurity.

African and Black Diaspora Studies (ABD) is an interdisciplinary program at DePaul that will provide you with an opportunity to explore the topics of power, history, identity, gender and race in relation to contemporary understandings of Africa and the movement of Black and African people throughout the world. As an African and Black Diaspora Studies major, you’ll explore the Black experience from a variety of perspectives, including but not limited to historical, artistic, sociological, anthropological, and philosophical approaches. And you’ll study the diverse cultures and societies that make up the global African Diaspora.

Concentrate your study regionally (e.g. Africa, Black America, Afro-Caribbean, Latin America, etc.) or thematically (e.g. literature and culture, politics, gender and sexuality, etc.), and work with dedicated faculty and take advantage of a flexible curriculum to tailor your studies to your interests. In addition to a variety of combined degrees, we offer African and Black Diaspora Studies majors a combined bachelor’s + master’s degree in Critical Ethnic Studies. As an ABD major, you’ll begin taking Critical Ethnic Studies courses during your undergraduate senior year, leaving only one remaining year for the MA in Critical Ethnic Studies.
