The Master of City Planning program aims to produce innovative practice-oriented graduates with the capacity to play a leading role in creating sustainable cities and regions.  This program is designed to equip students for rewarding professional work planning for 21st century global-local challenges including rapid urbanisation, climate change, resource constraints, globalisation and technological disruption.  With its distinctive interdisciplinary urban design orientation, the program will cultivate city planners and urban designers with the global perspective, knowledge, skills and adaptability to make a significant contribution to addressing these challenges. The Master of Project Management program provides a comprehensive business-ready foundation that will equip students from any background with the knowledge required to develop a career and expertise in project management. The Master of Project Management features four distinct study themes including strategy, sustainability, managing complex problems and teams, and virtual teams and global working. The curriculum addresses a range of topics including conflict resolution, effective integrated planning, management, market performance, portfolio management, public and private sector investment and risk identification. External speakers from leading investment banks, credit agencies and portfolio fund managers contribute to case studies and workshops.

The Master of Valuation and Property Development (Professional) provides a wide range of skills that can be applied to global property markets. This program is designed to equip graduates with strong knowledge and advanced technical skills applicable to a variety of career paths such as property valuation and investment, finance, asset management and research. The curriculum addresses a range of topics including finance and taxation, corporate portfolio management, risk identification and management, feasibility analysis, law, property valuation and market analysis. This degree provides the opportunity to specialise in Property Valuation. Professional Portfolio is a 20 week, 45 credit point subject available to Masters of Valuation and Property Development (Professional) students in the Faculty of Society & Design. This subject is strongly experientially oriented and encourages students to develop their professional skills in a real world environment. The subject will ensure that students combine self-analysis and reflective learning skills with professional methodologies, so as to expand analytic and strategic thinking capabilities. It will provide practical experience for students to develop their skills in a profession relevant to their Master’s specialisation. All students will complete a 2,000-word scoping document, and either undertake a work placement in Australia for 210 hours (which includes an employer’s report) and reflective journal (up to 5,000 words) OR complete a collaborative research project totalling up to 15,000 words. All students will submit a final professional portfolio collection of documents, highlighting their practical and theoretical expertise in their profession of choice.

The Bond MBA (Professional) provides students with a solid foundation in a variety of business practices, plus the ability to gain a specialisation.  The professional program follows the same structure as the Master of Business Administration program with an additional 20-week Professional component. The program focuses on developing self-analysis and reflective learning skills and applying theoretical solutions for practical workplace problems. The program also provides global networking opportunities. The program equips students to think critically, communicate professionally, work collaboratively, make ethical and responsible business decisions, and work effectively in a global business context characterised by change and uncertainty. The classes combine theoretical knowledge in Business with practical insights delivered through case studies, guest lectures and work-integrated learning. Team building is encouraged through group projects and communication skills are enhanced through class presentations.

The Master of Criminology (Professional) program provides you with skill development and training as well as scholarly appreciation of crime, justice and forensic issues. The program provides an understanding of a broad range of issues involving criminology theories, contemporary information on crime prevention, the theory and practice of punishment, criminal offenders, the police, courts and correctional institutions, including current crime and deviance issues. You will be provided with both knowledge and research skills and techniques required for the analysis of criminological issues and an understanding of how to critically evaluate published research. At the end of the program, you will undertake a professional portfolio involving your  research and practical expertise in your chosen vocational area.  Eligibility criteria applies to the professional placement option.  The program duration is 4 semesters and 20 weeks (92 weeks).

The Master of Financial Management (Professional) is a postgraduate qualification which provides the essential knowledge and analytical skills for making key financial decisions faced by corporate managers, business bankers, wealth advisors and financial managers. Students receive personal development and professional practice as a result of the 20-week Professional component. The classes combine theoretical knowledge in finance with practical insights delivered through case studies and guest lectures. The free choice business electives provide students with the opportunity to customise the program to meet their individualised interests and enhance their employability and career options.

Designed for students who wish to study via a two-semester model, this three-year program means you will study during the January and September semesters of each year only and will complete the degree over three years rather than the usual two. The Bachelor of Commerce (3 Year) develops financial literacy, business analytic and decision-making skills, leadership, and management skills through experiential learning and authentic assessment tasks relevant to the choice of major. The program equips students to think creatively and critically, problem-solve, communicate professionally, work collaboratively, make ethical and responsible business decisions, and work effectively in a global business context characterised by change and uncertainty. Depending on the major selected, students are prepared for a professional career in Accounting, Actuarial Science, Economics or Finance fields. By undertaking a specified set of subjects according to their chosen discipline, Bachelor of Commerce (3 Year) students graduating with an Accounting, Actuarial Science or Finance major are eligible to pursue professional qualifications offered by their field’s governing bodies.
