Spanish

Spanish is a thriving international language and the official language in 21 countries. Deakin’s Spanish studies will help you develop a wide range of communication skills in Spanish, regardless of whether you have any previous experience in the language. Our sequential proficiency levels will take you from scratch to fluency or near fluency. If you already know some Spanish you will be able to enter your major or minor from an intermediate level. Furthermore, you will acquire an understanding and cultural awareness of the varied societies and cultures that make up the Spanish-speaking world. In-country language programs will be made available to students undertaking a major sequence in Spanish.

Sociology
