The Diploma of Screen and Media (Animation, Gaming and Visual Effects)  provides you with the skills you need to become a creative and capable digital professional.

As an industry-driven course, the Diploma of Screen and Media (Animation, Gaming and Visual Effects) is ideal for students who want to establish a professional animation, gaming and visual effects career in the film, television, online entertainment or gaming industry. You will undertake fundamental units in design, interactivity, 2D and 3D imaging and animation, and media production (video and audio). With a focus on creativity, design thinking and conceptual development, this course will give you an understanding of the fundamental design, technical and management skills required to work in these growing fields.

Building on the capabilities you acquired at undergraduate degree level, you’ll design and develop a research project and complete a scholarly thesis as you undertake advanced coursework, which provides a firmer grounding in the field and in research methods.

This qualification will teach you valuable screen industry skills and knowledge in the key areas of concept development, storytelling, pre-production, production and post-production for single and multi-camera productions.

In the Master of Artificial Intelligence, you’ll learn to design and implement systems and applications in high-tech facilities, such as our newly developed Artificial Intelligence Lab.

The Master of Artificial Intelligence offers two stream options. In the project stream, you complete an AI postgraduate project and choose two electives from both AI and IT. In the research stream, you complete a research methods module, write a minor thesis, and select two electives.

We have been rated above world standard for our research in the field of AI and Image Processing. This course is among the most specialised in the country, with few other degrees focused on AI theory and applications in today’s climate.
