In this honours degree, you will have the opportunity to expand your fashion design knowledge, refine your vision, further research your design practice, and pitch your work to industry.

We seek to imagine future commercial contexts, create ethical design propositions, and use cross-disciplinary design strategies to drive global and competitive fashion design practices. You will extend your design, communication and presentation methods and strategies for fashion garments, products, accessories, objects, artefacts, materials, spaces and experiences of and for the body.

In RMIT's Bachelor of Engineering (Computer and Network Engineering) (Honours) / Bachelor of Computer Science, you’ll acquire extensive knowledge of computer system architecture, software design and the necessary skills required for developing embedded hardware and network-based computer systems.

The computer science degree will develop a skill set that spans from theoretical and algorithmic foundations to cutting-edge developments in computing. You will gain deep knowledge of systems infrastructure, software methods and technologies, and application technologies.

The computer and network engineering degree will develop your skills in the field of embedded systems or smart devices, as well as provide you with expertise in large scale network design and the implementation of digital communication networks that are vital for many big businesses.

The Bachelor of Communication (Professional Communication) is designed to equip you with the principles of effective communication that apply across the media and communications industries and that make you competitive for a rapidly changing workforce.

Today’s media professionals must be all-rounders, carrying out tasks across a range of digital and traditional media platforms. This degree equips you with the interdisciplinary skills and knowledge that you need to become this all-rounder.

In the first part of the degree, you’ll work and learn with students from other media and communication disciplines. You’ll then be given the opportunity to specialise in a discipline of interest: journalism, media production, advertising, public relations.

In your third year, you will undertake a professional placement that relates to your specialisation. These opportunities range from: government departments, media or advertising agencies, community TV, radio stations or consultancies that RMIT has existing relationships with, or in an approved placement of your own choosing.

The Master of Cyber Security aims to equip you with the mathematical, technical and business tools to secure an organisation’s information systems.

Secure systems and networks are a vital responsibility for organisations of all sizes and in our increasingly connected world, it is more important than ever. From the latest internet worm to identity theft, danger is no more than a click away.

You will learn about local area network (LAN) security, cryptography, the Advanced Encryption Standard, RSA, smartcards, biometrics, ethical hacking and information systems risk management.

This degree includes opportunities for cyber security internships with industry organisations, both large and small.

This diploma is suitable for those who already have bilingual skills, but have not yet reached the required level of specialised language proficiency for the Advanced Diploma of Interpreting.

Interpreters provide a critical service, helping people to overcome language barriers when accessing community services in areas such as health, education, law, business and travel.

You’ll gain basic transfer skills for interpreting in general conversational settings, learn about professional ethics, and improve language proficiency. You'll develop the skills to conduct transactions, interactions, and negotiations at a functional level.

Students studying spoken language will explore legal and medical terminology, while Auslan interpreting students will learn about health and education terminology.

Biomedical science courses allow you to understand how the human body functions, and the responses of the body to various diseases, exercise, diet, internal disturbances, and environmental influences.

You’ll learn how techniques in molecular biology and genetics are applied to diagnosing genes that cause cancer, making crops and livestock less vulnerable to disease, and making food safer.

You’ll complete studies in cell biology, physiology, microbiology and molecular biology. You can also choose to study anatomy, neuroscience, cardiovascular biology, industrial microbiology, proteomics, pharmaceutical sciences and applied biochemistry.
