The Bachelor of Design (Animation and Interactive Media) looks at animation in all its forms, from the animated character to motion graphics across linear and interactive environments. In this dynamic, practical, industry-relevant course, you'll learn 2D and 3D design skills and the decorative aspect of design. You’ll delve into the exploration of colour, materials and finishes, interior construction techniques, soft furnishings, and fabrics and furniture. With research and practical tasks across historical and contemporary styles and trends, you’ll develop high-level documentation and technical skills in order to respond to professional briefs for both residential and commercial clients.

You'll develop a deeper understanding of commercial and residential interiors, spatial layout, furnishings and decorative treatments, and the documentation process.

As an interior designer, you will:

• Develop well-planned and functional spaces
• Decorate residential and commercial environments
• Draw sketches and produce samples of your design ideas
• Source paint colours, lighting, furniture and flooring
• Provide advice on soft and hard finishes, artwork, and accessories for an interior scheme.
• Provide on-site design and construction advice.

Through this course, your knowledge and skills will expand to allow you to create and communicate your design concepts, evaluate briefs and apply basic business skills to domestic and commercial projects.

RMIT's Bachelor of Engineering (Aerospace Engineering) (Honours) / Bachelor of Business double degree provides you with the capability to play a pivotal role in planning, implementing and managing aerospace projects and developments in a wide range of industries that require high level business skills.

The aerospace engineering degree is concerned with analysing, designing and operating sophisticated aeronautics and astronautics hardware and software systems, while the business degree is concerned with organisational planning, coordination and resource direction.

You will graduate from the aerospace degree with an internationally recognised qualification, enabling you to have a global career as a leader in a wide range of industries and organisations.

On productions there may be many takes to produce the right shot, but it only takes one associate degree to give you the skills you need to build a career in screen and media content production.

This qualification will teach you valuable screen industry skills and knowledge in the key areas of concept development, storytelling, pre-production, production and post-production for single and multi-camera productions.

Throughout the curriculum, there is a strong emphasis on industry knowledge, collaboration, team building, creative application and professionalism. We offer a broad range of classes and screenings, as well as computer lab, location and studio-based exercises and productions.

Exploring the trans-disciplinary nature of contemporary industrial design. You'll engage in practical learning through our practice-based design studios, co-creating solutions through a human centred approach to product, service and experience design contexts.

For over 70 year’s industrial design at RMIT has offered aspiring designers ground breaking experiences through technical, theoretical and applied immersions into the diverse and dynamic fields of industrial design practice. Working on real-world problems in industry and community contexts, this hands on educational experience culminates in a year-long honours design research project.
