This program builds on the strong science foundation that students developed in their undergraduate science or health science degree to provide advanced studies in pharmaceutical science, professional and clinical pharmacy practice and pharmacy research. It provides you with a broad range of lectures, group and self-directed learning activities, practical competence-development simulations, inter-professional learning and clinical placements to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to undertake an internship program.

An MBA is an advanced general management degree designed for managers who wish to develop a solid business foundation, as well as skills and knowledge of cutting-edge business practices for the 21st century. At Griffith we offer two MBA programs, both are focused around our values of responsible leadership; sustainable business practices; and a global perspective with the aim of making you an effective globally responsible business leader.

The Bachelor of Social Work (Honours) encompasses 30 credit points of research dissertation.

As well as the opportunity for career and skill advancement, the Honours program creates a pathway for Social Work students to move into research and higher degree studies via the Master of Philosophy and Doctor of Philosophy programs.

You'll learn in state-of-the-art facilities from passionate, experienced teachers. You'll be engineering from day one, with a solid foundation in mathematics, computer systems, engineering principles and information systems. In your second year, you'll explore computer algorithms, object-oriented programming, business analysis, computer network essentials and more.

Along the way, you'll gain vital skills and knowledge in fields such as mobile app development, network security and project management. You'll also address the key social and professional issues facing software engineers as the 21st century - and humanity's complex relationship with devices - continues to develop.

Our degrees also have a practical foundation, so you know what you're learning will be relevant to your career long after you graduate. You'll gain valuable skills in teamwork, project management and quality management as you complete project work developing software for real clients.

Your learning experience will involve practising engineers directly through your laboratory and tutorial sessions. Additionally, your teachers will draw on their professional experience in choosing lab activities, projects and/or case studies, and problems. You'll also be exposed to the realities of current industry practice through a range of field trip opportunities.

If you are keen to work as a psychologist, this degree will give you a thorough grounding in clinical, developmental, biological, cognitive, and social and organisational psychology.

You will learn how to use interpersonal skills and the principles of counselling to help people with personal, health, vocational and social difficulties.

You will also learn how to apply psychological theories to topics such as thinking and perceiving, motivation, stress, health and criminal activity.

In fourth year, you will begin formal research training and be introduced to professional psychological practice. You will complete an honours research project and study four core courses. You will need to achieve the required level of academic performance in the earlier years of the degree to be eligible for the fourth year of study.

You will have the opportunity to put your academic studies into practice through a professional practice placement.

The Master of Marketing/Master of International Tourism and Hospitality Management double degree program will provide you with an understanding of strategic marketing and operational considerations, enabling you to critically analyse and make managerial decisions within the rapidly expanding and dynamic, global services industry environment. This double degree program enables you to graduate with two postgraduate qualifications at a Masters level and take the next step in your career.

The Master of International Tourism and Hospitality Management develops skills essential for managerial-level professionals in the services industry including advanced business acumen, strategic insight, high-level management skills and specialised industry knowledge - underscored by sustainability principles.

You will expand on your core business skills in areas such as financial planning, hospitality management and human resource management and enhance these with an understanding of how to manage in a culturally diverse context.

The Master of Marketing enables you to develop and build on a solid foundation of marketing principles and industry best practice. You will learn how to apply the latest marketing techniques and technologies to areas such as consumer behaviour, market research and integrated marketing communications. Your studies will also show you how to think strategically about value, positioning and competitive advantage in a global context through branding and digital marketing applications.

With qualifications in both science and IT, you'll be able to pursue a career in a variety of industries, including commerce, industry, corporate IT, government or private consulting.

In this double degree, you'll have an introduction to fundamental concepts in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, information systems and computer programming before choosing the majors that suit your interests. You'll have access to next generation technology and state-of-the-art labs throughout your studies as you learn from some of Australia's leading researchers.

Your final year is centred around hands-on projects, which are the core of our unique employability program. You'll gain experience with local and international industry partners with the option to engage with university research, undertake an extended fieldwork program in your major or complete an industry placement.

Such experiences will help you develop highly valued skills and attributes such as the ability to work in a team to analyse, develop and implement effective solutions to practical challenges. You will also be taught by expert academics with strong ties to their fields who may be able to assist in developing your networks and connections during your studies.

You will gain a strong foundation in the physical and biomedical sciences, as well as practical business and management skills and knowledge. You will develop an understanding of how both our bodies and the sports industry work.

The Master of Design (MDes) is an exploration of 21st century creative practices suited to current or emerging designers who wish to complement their existing skills with concepts, strategies, and technologies to solve complex problems in business, government and communities.

It offers students the opportunity to advance their skills and knowledge on design context and processes in multiple areas including experience design, design thinking, emerging design futures and business and professional practice. These courses are complimented by a range of practical/making courses in the areas of visual communication, prototyping, still/moving image and interactive design. The program gives a broad range of disciplines (design and non-design) the opportunity to upskill and build upon contemporary practices relevant to all designers and equip them with the knowledge base to pursue a major design research project of their choice.

Students will utilise both collaborative and individual working contexts to expand their knowledge of contemporary design processes at professional industry level. They will gain research and critical thinking skills which will be deployed in a major design project in the second year of the program. Graduates will be prepared for practice-led work and/or design strategy and leadership in macro, micro and freelance scenarios.

The Graduate Diploma of Law Research Studies is an 80 credit point program designed to provide graduates in the Law discipline with the opportunity to undertake advanced study in research methodology and to undertake supervised research work, in the discipline area appropriate to their research trajectory.

The program provides the necessary preparation for entry into a higher degree research program (Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Master of Philosophy (MPhil), or equivalent program) for applicants who do not possess the required qualifications for direct admission into these programs. The program will also be available to students who wish to undertake advanced studies in the identified disciplinary fields, but who may not wish to progress to MPhil or PhD study.
