This degree provides an alternative route for entry into a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) if you do not meet the entry requirements for direct admission.

When you complete this degree, you will be granted admission to an MPhil or PhD, providing you have fulfilled the entry requirements detailed in the Higher Degree Research policy and have completed the confirmation procedure. Your final grade will determine whether you are eligible for the PhD or MPhil.

You will undertake advanced study and supervised research work in the health discipline, defined by your undergraduate degree. In the coursework component, you will critically evaluate research and develop your knowledge and understanding of statistical analysis techniques as applied to health research. You will also develop an awareness of research proposal design and background. The multidisciplinary context of this degree will be invaluable to you if you are seeking to understand complex problems in health.

This program provides students with advanced study across the breadth of specialisations in Civil Engineering. It is designed to extend and deepen the knowledge and skills gained from an undergraduate degree in civil engineering. It is ideal for professional civil engineers who aspire to develop their design skills and advance their capabilities to analyse and solve structural problems and manage projects across a wide range of real-world civil engineering applications. Computer Science is a dynamic and developing field that is increasingly pervading every aspect of society. In this program you will learn the fundamental principles underpinning computer science and learn practical software technology development skills for many different platforms and applications.

You will have the choice of studying topics such as Programming Languages, Distributed Computing, Computer Architectures, Algorithms and Operating Systems, Machine Learning, Intelligent Systems, Robotics, Programming for Web, Mobile and Embedded Applications, Scientific Computing, Visualisation and Big Data Mining, and Analytics. You can choose between one of two majors and also select from a range of elective courses. The program aims to bring students to a level of maturity in their understanding and practice of scholarly work within the Industrial Design area, as well as providing training in the techniques, skills and theoretical background necessary for subsequent postgraduate research.

After completing two years of study in the Bachelor of Physiotherapy program (1589) or Bachelor of Physiotherapy program (1579), high achieving students with a Grade Point Average of at least 5.0 are eligible to apply to transfer to the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) program. Similar to the Bachelor of Physiotherapy program, these students will need to demonstrate physiotherapy knowledge and skills required for entry-level clinical physiotherapy practice. In addition, Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) students will develop and demonstrate advanced knowledge and skills relating to research in their final two years of study.

Graduates will be eligible to register to practice as a Physiotherapist within Australia following accreditation and also progress directly to higher degree research study such as a Master of Philosophy or Doctor of Philosophy.

This degree includes advanced coursework in the exercise sciences, combined with a minimum of 500 hours of professional practice. You'll be prepared for work in a range of professional areas as a dual-accredited Exercise Scientist and Exercise Physiologist. Your deeper knowledge of the human body and how exercise affects it will enable you to assess, design and deliver exercise-based programs that improve health and performance, prevent chronic conditions, and treat or manage a range of health conditions.

Program accreditation:

The Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology is subject to accreditation by Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA) in the areas of Exercise Science and Exercise Physiology.

This program has been designed to meet the requirements for the fifth year of a 5+1 pathway to general registration as a Psychologist. Enrolment in this program may allow you to register as a provisional Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia as part of the requirements of a 5+1 pathway and prepares you for eligibility to complete a +1 internship as a provisional Psychologist.
