To be awarded a Bachelor of Nursing (Honours) degree, one additional year of study is required following the successful completion of the Bachelor of Nursing.

In your first year, you will be introduced to the basic sciences underpinning medical science - anatomy, chemistry, biochemistry, genes and disease, law and ethics, microbiology, physiology, and epidemiology. You will also undertake a course in "interpersonal skills" which provides you with knowledge and skills in communication and interaction with patients.

In second year, you will study these areas in greater depth and take medically focused courses in immunology, infectious disease, pharmacology, metabolism, structural biochemistry, and molecular genetics, as well as undertaking a capstone course (Integrated Medical Sciences) which integrates and applies the knowledge of basic sciences learned in your first and second years to solving clinical problems.

The priorities and agendas of domestic politics are increasingly shaped and contextualised by events, pressures and constraints at the regional and global levels. For postgraduate students of international relations, the addition of a public policy component will equip them with the professional knowledge, analytical tools and organisational skills to significantly enhance their graduate outcomes, whether in government, international organisations or domestic/international non-government organisations. In the Honours year, you will complete courses to develop your research skills and a 20,000-word dissertation. Your dissertation topic will be decided in consultation with academic staff members and will focus on a topic or theme related to the stream of study you choose.

As a graduate, you will have a competitive edge, as you will be equipped with practical skills, experience and attributes that employers value, as well as highly developed research capabilities. Your skills will be valuable in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors.

The Graduate Diploma of Research Studies in Engineering is an 80 credit point program that provides an alternative route for entry into a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) program for applicants who do not possess the required qualifications for direct admission.

The Griffith Sciences Group will be responsible for the overall supervision of the student and monitoring their progress throughout the program.

In this degree, you'll learn how to manage the social and spatial conditions of urban life, helping to create a more sustainable future.
