This degree, designed for high-achieving secondary school leavers, provides the opportunity for you to progress directly into our Doctor of Medicine

In your first year, you will be introduced to the basic sciences underpinning medical science - anatomy, chemistry, biochemistry, genes and disease, law and ethics, microbiology, physiology, and epidemiology. You will also undertake a course in "interpersonal skills" which provides you with knowledge and skills in communication and interaction with patients.

In second year, you will study these areas in greater depth and take medically focused courses in immunology, infectious disease, pharmacology, metabolism, structural biochemistry, and molecular genetics, as well as undertaking a capstone course (Integrated Medical Sciences) which integrates and applies the knowledge of basic sciences learned in your first and second years to solving clinical problems.

Engineering is a precise practice, and this double degree will arm you with the science disciplines to hone your technical precision. You'll study applied mathematics or physics and learn to balance the numbers with the art of creative and critical thinking. You'll also gain highly useful skills in mathematical modelling.

In this degree, you will develop the skills needed to work as an occupational therapist to deliver life changing outcomes. The Graduate Diploma of Research Studies in Information Technology is an 80 credit point program that provides an alternative route for entry into a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) program for applicants who do not possess the required qualifications for direct admission.

The Griffith Sciences Group will be responsible for the overall supervision of the student and monitoring their progress throughout the program.

You will develop expertise in research and learn the concepts, methods and skills required to apply knowledge with creativity and initiative to new situations. The Master of Philosophy (MPhil) is awarded on the basis of independent supervised study that produces a substantial piece of research as judged by independent experts of international standing.
