UNSW’s Master of Environmental Management is a two-year full-time postgraduate degree that will prepare you for a career that tackles our biggest ecological challenges through change-leadership and sustainability.

In this master’s degree, you’ll learn to think about environmental problems through a number of lenses, forming a deep understanding of the socio-political influences that drive them.  In addition to the program’s key focus on conceptual tools, you will also develop experiential and practical skills to inform ethical and restorative sustainability leadership in a range of professional contexts.

The Master of Engineering (Biomedical Engineering) is a two-year full-time degree that'll help you develop the specialised skills and knowledge to build a successful career in Biomedical Engineering and gain a recognised accreditation. This degree is designed for students who don’t have a formal engineering accreditation but have an undergraduate degree in engineering, health or medical sciences.

When you study the Master of Engineering (Biomedical Engineering) you'll expand your knowledge, skills and develop job prospects through a specialised study in the area of Biomedical Engineering. In this degree, you’ll learn about engineering applications in medicine including neuromodulation and bioinstrumentation, biomechanics and rehabilitation, tissue engineering, bioinformatics, as well as medical device design. As a part of your studies, you’ll also complete an open-ended research project.

You’ll be required to complete 60 days of industrial training in Biomedical Engineering and/or other Engineering fields, through this you’ll receive industry exposure and professional practice. Your degree will include a compulsory Master's Thesis which adds a research component to your study. You’ll graduate as an accredited Biomedical Engineer, with an Engineers Australia accreditation. After completing this postgraduate degree you’ll meet national and international benchmarks to take your career to the next level.

This postgraduate degree offers four sub specialisations, choose from:

The Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree allows high-performing students to deepen their knowledge of approaches, perspectives and traditions in their chosen scientific discipline and undertake a significant research project.

There are 29 specialisations available covering a wide and diverse range of disciplines, from biology, chemistry and physics to aviation, geology and statistics. As a result of the variety of options that can be chosen across the Faculty, the proportion of research-based work and coursework will differ by School.

In addition to conducting research and coursework, you will generally also be expected to attend and present seminars, write a literature review write a thesis and undertake Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) training. This degree also provides an academic foundation for you to continue on to a masters by research or a PhD.

The Bachelor of Social Sciences/Law is a 5-year double degree program that provides the opportunity to obtain two degrees of professional importance to the public sector, community service, business and law practice. In addition, you’ll have the option to work towards a research career in a variety of disciplines.

Your fundamental knowledge and skills in law and in-depth understanding of social science specialisations will build your capacity to contribute to real world and impactful social, political and cultural change. The Bachelor of Social Sciences allows you to choose from various specialisations to build comprehensive knowledge and analytical skills alongside practical experiences throughout this double degree. UNSW’s Master of Property and Development is a 1.7 year, or 1 year accelerated postgraduate degree that will equip you to work at the cutting-edge of a dynamic industry.
