UNSW’s Bachelor of Commerce/Arts is a double degree that will equip you with business experience and expertise, combined with the creativity, analytical and critical thinking skills that come with an arts degree. The Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) has been designed with consultation from industry to set you up for lifelong employability. By combining your BCom with a Bachelor of Arts, you can choose from a diverse range of majors and subjects in the arts, humanities and social sciences. You'll develop an in-depth knowledge and breadth of understanding, gaining the tools to think critically, communicate effectively and conduct independent research.

The UNSW Master of Engineering Science in Petroleum Engineering is a two-year postgraduate degree in the School of Minerals and Energy Resource Engineering. You’ll gain the accreditation for a career in petroleum engineering, the oil and gas industry and other related sectors.  

You’ll explore a broad range of areas related to employment in petroleum engineering including:

•     Project management
•     Reservoir engineering
•     Geophysics
•     Drilling engineering
•     Fluid mechanics

If you come from a general engineering background and want to transition into a specialised role, the petroleum engineering specialisation will help you get there. The degree is also designed for anyone working in the industry and wanting to deepen their knowledge and experience.  

As part of an internationally renowned Engineering faculty, you’ll prepare yourself for the workplaces of the future in oil, gas and mining. You’ll learn to look for hands-on solutions, applying established engineering methods to complex industrial challenges. 

Computer engineering is an engineering discipline that combines computer science and electronic engineering to develop computer hardware and software. As a computer engineer you’ll become a leader in innovation and development of new technologies that impact the world.

Computer Engineers don’t just work with personal computer systems. You’ll learn about embedded systems for vehicles and operating systems for consumer electronics, telecommunications, medical equipment and more.

In this degree you’ll learn about the structure and integrated design of hardware and software components within computer systems, by combining elements of electrical engineering with computer science methods.

Finance (Major)
Finance informs large-scale decisions for people at all levels. You have the option to study full-time or part-time depending on where you are at in your career so your study can fit in with your life and your professional aspirations. There are 18 finance degrees to choose from as well as a range of double degrees and degrees which offer finance as an area of specialisation.

In this degree, you'll immerse yourself in the manufacture and use of solar cells, which capture and convert sunlight into electricity. Information Systems(Major)
In the digital era, information systems are critical to every business’s success. Companies rely on information technology to run their businesses, drive innovation, and safeguard their future. If you want to work in aviation, but not necessarily as a pilot, this is the degree for you. The aviation industry requires a large corporate world to function successfully. The industry is becoming more complex and sophisticated, meaning employers are looking for graduates who have wide industry knowledge, tertiary qualifications and all-round capabilities.

The Bachelor of Aviation (Management) addresses these issues to produce graduates with essential skills and knowledge in the fields of science, engineering, interpersonal relations, the environment and management. This skill base provides a solid foundation upon which you can expect to advance to positions of management and influence within the aviation industry.

Students are exposed to current aviation topics and often work in teams to solve contemporary air transport problems. Learning exercises range from operating a start-up airline in a management simulation to exploring the cognitive abilities of humans in the fast-developing environment of aviation.

Graduates of the management degree have a broad education that provides a solid base for pursuing a career in aviation.
