This exciting degree focuses on the science and practice of air and space flight; the design, development, testing and production of aerospace vehicles; the maintenance and operation of aircraft; and aerospace research. Our Aerospace Engineering degree focuses on airborne vehicles to meet future employment prospects in Australia (like aerodynamics, flight mechanics, propulsion and structures). The final-year course involves a team project integrating all aspects of aircraft design to meet a defined mission specification. Chemical Product Engineering is the new frontier for chemical engineers. It incorporates the technical and entrepreneurial skills needed to innovate, develop and design new chemical and consumer products for large and small businesses.

Chemical Engineering has an emphasis on product design and development. A major focus in this field is on new materials and breakthrough technologies that overcome high costs and scarcity to create value-adding solutions. Chemical Engineers work in areas from cosmetics, drugs and solar cells to advance biomedical devices by identifying customer needs and creating products that meet those needs.

You'll build on the study of chemical and physical sciences and processes to create the types of products that can be commercialised in a number of fields such as pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, agricultural chemicals and foods. Through academic and project work as well as applying your skills during 60 days of approved industry training, you'll graduate with the tools and skills you need to create products across a wide range of industries.

Environmental engineers focus on the impact on the natural world by engineering activities. They combine their broad knowledge of engineering and environmental processes in identifying environmental problems and then developing effective solutions. They also coordinate the activities of various specialist groups such as biologists, ecologists and geologists within major projects.

Environmental Engineering embraces parts of Civil Engineering, with an emphasis on management, system design, water, geotechnical and transport engineering. It also covers aspects of Chemical Engineering, applied and biological sciences, and environmental studies. To get you work ready, you'll apply these skills through 60 days of approved industry training.

Throughout this three-year full-time degree, you will gain a range of audio, visual, and digital production skills that will equip you with the tools and knowledge to remain at the leading edge of local and international media industries.

With a career in sound production, video production, animation, film, or online games on the horizon – this degree will focus on conceptual knowledge and professional skills. Undertake hands-on learning with the latest technology, industry experience and a diverse team of academics and award-winning animators, filmmakers, scriptwriters, sound artists and game researchers ready to guide you along the way. 

Practicing using the latest cameras, audio recorders, microphones, lights, dollies and gimbals – you’ll build a strong portfolio of audio-visual work you can leverage professionally. You’ll also have access to advanced multimedia labs, digital video production and post-production facilities, animation and audio production studios. This includes our Esme Timbery Creative Practice Lab, which has a system of computer-controlled amplification for the perfect performance environment.

The Master of Public Health/Master of Infectious Diseases Intelligence (Extension) provides an innovative approach to postgraduate health education. This degree will help prepare you for a career in health emergencies, outbreaks, infectious diseases risk assessment and emergency response related to infectious diseases and other threats.

You will gain advanced disciplinary knowledge and skills needed for professional practice across a range of contexts including ministries and departments of health, government organisations, non-government and voluntary organisations, and primary care and community healthcare services in both public and private sectors.

Everything we use is made of materials, yet only a handful of these materials occur naturally. All the rest have been microscopically engineered originally by nature, but increasingly by materials engineers/scientists.

Materials science is the foundation for creating high-performance materials such as metals, ceramics, polymers and composites. In this degree, you’ll learn about developing high-performance materials that are lighter, greener and stronger – for use in every aspect of technology. You’ll also develop the theoretical and practical skills to improve materials for aerospace, automotive, biomedical and information technology-based industries.

This degree builds a foundation in mathematics, chemistry and physics, before moving into the fundamental properties and structures of materials. You’ll investigate aspects of engineering design and the application and selection of materials before concentrating on a research project to sharpen your experimental and analytical skills.

This multidisciplinary degree uses a combination of lectures, practical hands-on laboratory work and research and design projects. It also incorporates components of professional communication, management aspects of business and industrial training.
