This double degree combines specialised knowledge in Engineering with the variety of possibilities available in an Arts degree. The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) will provide you with a solid background in mathematics, natural sciences and computing to give you knowledge and skills in whichever engineering discipline specialisation you choose.

In the Arts component, you’ll choose a major from a range of disciplines within the humanities and social sciences, including languages, arts, history, philosophy and business. Work Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunities
At UNSW Science, we focus on delivering the optimal balance of theory and practical work to equip you with the skills and experience to fast-track your career. The SCIF3199 Science Work Placement course gives you the opportunity to gain practical work experience through an internship. Previous work placement students have interned with IT companies, start-ups, government departments and large biomedical and biotechnology companies. Along with new professional skills and connections, you’ll also gain course credit for your work placement.
Research internship course
The SCIF2041 Research Internship course gives you the opportunity to complete a short theoretical or experimental research project in a world-leading research team supervised by a member of academic staff. Internships may also involve a placement outside of UNSW, in the form of externally funded research programs.

Water, like many natural resources, is the lifeblood of individuals and communities across the world. Effective and sustainable water and wastewater treatment are crucial for urban populations as well as environmentally responsible waste management. Human Rights Law & Policy
The development of human rights law continuously alters how nation-states, governments, individuals and groups interact at the international, regional and domestic levels. Challenges to the standards underlying these laws by states and individuals require informed and robust responses by human rights professionals to ensure their promotion and protection.  
This Master of Laws specialisation will enable you to acquire expertise in human rights law and the policy context that it operates in.
