The Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) has been designed with consultation from industry to set you up for lifelong employability. By combining your BCom with a Bachelor of Arts, you can choose from a diverse range of majors and subjects in the arts, humanities and social sciences. You'll develop an in-depth knowledge and breadth of understanding, gaining the tools to think critically, communicate effectively and conduct independent research.

Accounting (Major)

Studying accounting, you’ll become a business insights expert. UNSW Master of Engineering (Mining) is a two-year full-time postgraduate degree taught at Australia’s top engineering faculty. Upon graduation you’ll have the engineering accreditation to help you get ahead in your career. The flexible degree offers in-depth knowledge and technical ability in your specialisation of mining while contributing to your ongoing professional development. You’ll develop your skills in engineering management, analysis and design that you’ll apply through practical experience in industrial training.

This degree is designed for students with an undergraduate degree wanting to pursue a career in the Engineering profession with an accreditation by Engineers Australia. You’ll graduate with a qualification that is internationally recognised by the Washington Accord and is globally recognised to facilitate the mobility of engineers.

Through this degree, you’ll gain the theory, tools and strategies required of today’s Mining Engineers and gain advanced knowledge in:

The Master of Engineering includes an integrated 60 days industrial training component and courses to develop your technical knowledge and skills in engineering management, analysis and design to ensure you graduate career-ready and accredited.

You’ll have the opportunity to undertake an extensive research project to extend your knowledge in a specific area of interest. The project enables students to gain valuable skills in project planning and management and learn methods to undertake the critical analysis, interpretation and communication of results.

The Bachelor of Social Sciences is a three-year degree when studied full time. As you prepare for a career with real and meaningful impact, you'll discover how to bring about positive change through critical analysis and political influence.

Social scientists inform public debate and shape the policies that affect society. They analyse and understand myriad political, international, social, environmental, and economic challenges through social research skills and real-life experience.

The Bachelor of Design/Bachelor of Education (Secondary) is a four-year double degree that transforms creative thinking into the confidence to guide future generations. You’ll develop professional design skills and be prepared to teach visual arts to high school students.

The industry is becoming more complex and sophisticated, meaning employers are looking for graduates who have wide industry knowledge, tertiary qualifications and all-round capabilities.

The Bachelor of Aviation (Management) addresses these issues to produce graduates with essential skills and knowledge in the fields of science, engineering, interpersonal relations, the environment and management. This skill base provides a solid foundation upon which you can expect to advance to positions of management and influence within the aviation industry.

Students are exposed to current aviation topics and often work in teams to solve contemporary air transport problems. Learning exercises range from operating a start-up airline in a management simulation to exploring the cognitive abilities of humans in the fast-developing environment of aviation.

Graduates of the management degree have a broad education that provides a solid base for pursuing a career in aviation. Many graduates have enjoyed the flexibility to grow their careers through various roles in airlines and related industries. The degree is designed to prepare graduates for employment in international and regional airlines of all sizes. Other prospective employers include airports, government agencies such as the Australian Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development, Air Services Australia, tourism authorities, freight forwarders and airport ground handling companies. The Bachelor of Aviation (Management) aims to produce aviation professionals of this calibre.

This innovative degree extends the Civil Engineering Bachelor degree by including courses in Architecture from the School of Built Environment. Civil engineers create and manage the infrastructure of our built environment, including bridges, roads and highways, tunnels, dams, ports and harbours, railways, water supply and sewerage schemes, irrigation systems and many other structures.

The degree will lead to a professionally accredited Engineering qualification with a foundation in architectural principles and an understanding of both the architect's role in structural design and the connection between architects and engineers. It aims to inspire students to become conceptual thinkers with an appreciation for architectural beauty and the mathematical insight to challenge traditional boundaries of structural design.

The Psychological Science/Law double degree is a five-year program (full-time) and provides an opportunity to obtain two degrees suited to law students who also have an interest in the study of psychology.

The Law degree aims to develop graduates who have excellent analytical skills, a capacity for scholarly research, effective oral and written communication skills, and a commitment to personal and professional development, ethical practice and social responsibility.

The Law courses satisfy the requirements for the award of the professional LLB degree, while the Psychological Science component allows students to complete an accredited Psychology degree, with the option to apply for an additional Honours year in Psychology.

The Master of Global Health and Master of Health Leadership and Management is a double degree providing the essential knowledge, skills and attributes to carry out senior managerial and leadership roles in population, clinical and departmental health services. It is designed for those keen to work internationally in health departments, with non-government organisations (NGOs), and with international and bilateral aid agencies. You will gain a deep understanding of topics such as health promotion, health care economics and financial management, epidemiology, workforce management and clinical governance, as well as having the opportunity to study tropical disease control, immunisation policy, infectious diseases intelligence or bioterrorism.
