Overview

This degree has a strong focus on experience-based learning. You will have access to practical-based courses which use simulated financial markets in the Finance Trading Room to enhance your learning and engage in real world practical tasks in specialised fields in Finance. You can also choose to enhance your business consulting skills and experience through a professional business placement in Australia or overseas.

What you'll learn

Your undergraduate degree will start with core courses in areas such as analytics, accounting and economic theory. These will give you a solid grasp of business fundamentals that you can apply to a range of careers. You’ll then branch out into your specialisation, and learn the latest in areas such as macroeconomics, economics of public policy and analysis; portfolio and fund management; and international currency and banking markets. You can also embark on an overseas study tour, undertake an industry placement, or work on an industry-related research project.

The Master of Finance will explore areas such as financial theory and markets, investment management, corporate finance as well as econometrics.

Public Safety and Legal Studies

In your law studies you can undertake a Community Justice Project, practice advocacy and negotiation, or gain industry experience through participation in our Legal Advice Clinic or a professional placement. 

In your arts studies you can enjoy flexibility through your choice of 2 Arts Majors from the list of Bachelor of Arts majors. The expertise you gain in two arts-related areas, in addition to your law studies, will further improve your employment prospects.

What you'll learn

This degree is made up of 40 courses. You will do 24 courses in law and 16 courses in arts.        

Laws (Honours)

As a UniSA Law student, you’ll gain valuable skills from day one, including in reasoning, reporting, analysis, negotiation, communication and advocacy. You will also experience what it's like to argue a case and provide legal advice.

Throughout your degree you will study core courses that teach you the fundamental legal concepts that underpin the Australian legal system. Courses such as torts, contracts, criminal law and constitutional law will give you a good understanding of basic legal principles.

Our Law program also features courses that build your leadership skills, intercultural communication, project management and capacity for community engagement.

You will have the opportunity to have practical learning experiences, including mooting, negotiation, and witness examination; ensuring you’ll be prepared for legal practice upon graduation.

Arts

In this unique arts degree you can select two majors, further developing skills and knowledge in two distinct - but potentially complementary - disciplines. You will choose your two arts majors from one of these specialisations:
