What you'll learn

Emerging materials, processing technologies and sustainability are key focuses of this graduate diploma. You will also develop an advanced understanding of industrial design and graduate with the ability to develop and design physical products, systems, interfaces, and environments for cultural and economic exchange. You will also develop:

• high-level technical skills needed for digital prototyping and the development of 3D design

• the ability to use knowledge of existing and emerging materials and processing technologies for high and low volume manufacturing

• the ability to work through complex industrial design problems

• cognitive skills needed to review and analyse research

This unique degree will equip you with the skills needed to kick-start your rewarding career in the creative and innovative world of illustration and animation.

You will learn a broad range of techniques needed to produce industry-standard pictures for industries such as:

• Book and comic publishing
• Gaming
• Movies
• Advertising
• 2D, 3D and Stop Motion animation
• Animation
• Design

You will also become skilled in free-hand drawing, develop knowledge of digital software for moving and static pictures, and work in on-campus workshops that are fitted out with state-of-the-art equipment.

During your final year you will be given the opportunity to practice your skills when you undertake an industry internship, mentorship, collaborative project or free elective.

This program is recognised as an approved program by Financial Adviser Standards, The Treasury1 and will equip you with the education requirements to practise as a qualified financial adviser.

We’ve worked closely with industry to develop our course content, and regularly consult with Treasury to ensure your Graduate Diploma meets the most up-to-date industry standards.

Our Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning is best suited to:

•     existing financial advisers with a non-relevant degree; or
•     existing financial advisers with no degree; or
•     new entrants with a relevant degree.*

What you'll learn

This program consists of eight advanced financial planning courses, which you can complete in one year of full-time study (or part-time equivalent). Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) based on Treasury requirements for existing advisers will be considered and can reduce the number of courses you must complete.

What you'll learn

The two year program comprises 16 courses including 4 electives and an industry placement/project.  You will start with seven core courses common to all specialisations in the IMBA.  Through these you will develop advanced skills and expertise in areas of international management including:

• Global business environment
• People leadership and performance
• Economic principles for business
• Fundamentals of data analytics

This one-year Honours degree (or two years part-time) will introduce you to high-level research and help you develop the skills necessary to engage in rigorous research and analysis in your selected creative discipline. It can be used in preparation for postgraduate and PhD studies or research and leadership roles.

What you'll learn
You will learn skills necessary for conducting research in disciplines including Contemporary Art, Communication Design, Illustration Animation, Product Design, Cultural Studies, Film and Television, Journalism and Professional Writing, Communication and Media, Creative Writing, Social Media, Screen Studies and more. You will apply these skills to frame and develop your own research project, producing an outcome that responds to your research questions, project aims and objectives. Outcomes are visual and/or written, as appropriate for your disciplinary focus and project. Throughout your research studies you will be supervised by experienced research academics.

• Gain a solid foundation in the theoretical aspects of design, and through valuable hands-on projects and industry placements you will also gain practical knowledge and skills that will see you transition with ease into the workplace
• Gain an understanding of industry trends – delve into the world of workplace design, as well as the expanding field of furniture design with hands-on experience in the production and fabrication of furniture
• Apply design processes and strategies to a range of interior architecture projects, many of which are professional projects with real clients; alternatively you may choose to complete workshop-based courses where you can create furniture prototypes.

In this degree, you will get a grounding in key business disciplines through industry and business-focused courses. Your management specialisation will give you the knowledge and skills to manage resources and projects in a global business environment. You will also have the valuable opportunity to embed work integrated learning into your degree through an internship or mentorship.

The degree starts with core courses in business theory. These will give you a solid grasp of business fundamentals such as international business, economics and business intelligence. You can gain valuable insight and career skills while you study with advanced career-focused electives and internships in industry.

In your management specialisation, you'll study areas such as international management ethics and values, and organisational leadership and behaviour.

This postgraduate degree is offered as part of a nested suite in Business Administration where each qualification extends to the next, so you can easily transition to the next level qualification. If you decide to exit this qualification having completed the first four courses you will receive a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration. If you complete this qualification and wish to continue your studies, you can use this degree as a pathway and gain credit for successfully completed courses into the Master of Business Administration.

You will further develop business administration skills and knowledge by studying a range of courses including strategic management, managerial finance, international business, ethics, marketing, and leadership.

You will learn about business strategy, international trade, global marketing and international human resource management with a focus on the design and planning of effective media, and brand management strategy.
