Your undergraduate degree will begin with core courses in areas such as analytics, accounting and economic theory. These will give you a solid grasp of business fundamentals that you can apply to a range of careers. You’ll then branch out into your specialisation, and learn the latest in areas such as macroeconomics, economics of public policy and analysis; portfolio and fund management; and international currency and banking markets. You can also embark on an overseas study tour, undertake an industry placement, or work on an industry-related research project.

Your postgraduate studies will provide you the opportunity to sharpen your technical ability, legal knowledge and professional expertise. Aside from learning new and relevant legislation, regulations and codes of practice, you’ll also enhance your skills in building and managing client relationships – a critical focus area for future financial advisers.

What you'll learn

During this degree you will study courses that teach you the fundamental legal principles and concepts that underpin the Australian legal system.

Courses such as torts, contracts, criminal law and constitutional law will give you a good understanding of the basic legal principles.

Our Law program also features courses that build your leadership skills, intercultural communication, project management and capacity for community engagement. Through your choice of electives you can expand your knowledge in an area of professional interest such as health law, sports law, family law or human rights law.

Throughout your degree, you will have many opportunities to engage in practical learning experiences including mooting, negotiation, and witness examination. You will also engage in a Community Justice Project, ensuring you’ll be prepared for legal practice upon graduation.

• The Bachelor of Design (Communication Design) is practice-based, involving creative and critical thinking integrated with craft and technical skills.
