You will learn skills necessary for conducting research in disciplines including Contemporary Art, Communication Design, Illustration Animation, Product Design, Cultural Studies, Film and Television, Journalism and Professional Writing, Communication and Media, Creative Writing, Social Media, Screen Studies and more. You will apply these skills to frame and develop your own research project, producing an outcome that responds to your research questions, project aims and objectives. Outcomes are visual and/or written, as appropriate for your disciplinary focus and project. Throughout your research studies you will be supervised by experienced research academics.
 

What you'll learn

This degree is made up of 40 courses. You will do 24 courses in law and 16 courses in accounting.

Laws (Honours)

As a UniSA Law student, you’ll gain valuable skills from day one, including in reasoning, reporting, analysis, negotiation, communication and advocacy. You will also experience what it's like to argue a case and provide legal advice.

Throughout your degree you will study core courses that teach you the fundamental legal concepts that underpin the Australian legal system. Courses such as torts, contracts, criminal law and constitutional law will give you a good understanding of basic legal principles.

Accounting

This two year program comprises 16 courses including 4 electives and an industry placement/project.  You will start with seven core courses common to all specialisations in the IMBA. Through these you will develop advanced skills and expertise in areas of international management including:

You will then move into your specialisation, studying areas such as the global supply chain, cross cultural management, global marketing etc.

This degree explores the intricacies of product design, further building on your existing knowledge and skill set. You will develop the tools and techniques to investigate and analyse human centred design problems and develop techniques to manage complex design projects. You will also develop knowledge and skills in design thinking principles and practices as they are applied to industrial design projects. Emerging materials and processing technologies will be covered, as will manufacturing, technical skills and 3D design.

What you'll learn
Human-centred research and design thinking processes, as applied to industrial design problems, are the core of your experience. You’ll use various techniques to investigate design problems, come to a deep understanding of the context, and then develop and implement innovative and appropriate solutions for the problem. Emerging materials, processing technologies and sustainability are also key focuses, and you will develop an advanced understanding of product design and graduate with the ability to develop and design:

• physical products
• systems
• interfaces

You will also acquire:

• high-level design thinking skills using a variety of methods and processes
• high-level technical skills needed for digital prototyping and the development of 3D design
