A major in Innovative Foods will prepare you to be a leader in developing innovative, safe, healthy and sustainable foods. A solid foundation in the biological and chemical sciences, needed to underpin food science, will enable graduates from this program to be confident in the rapidly evolving food technology sector. Graduates can pursue opportunities in food formulation, food research and development, quality assurance, food plant management, food molecular biology, flavour chemistry, consumer relations, food quality assurance and teaching. The program is flexible and enables you to undertake units in human nutrition and health, food production, biotechnology, integrated management with industry and community links, with modern sensory and food processing facilities.

This double degree allows you to tailor your studies to your speci?c goals by combining your Bachelor of Social Science with our accredited Bachelor of Laws degree. The Bachelor of Social Science will expand your knowledge through theory, research and practical application and offers you a deep understanding of our complex, culturally diverse and dynamic world. Child and Community

The Bachelor of Laws program satisfies the academic degree requirements for admission to practice as an Australian lawyer. Students will engage in collaborative face-to-face problem and case-based learning, will be supported by online learning materials, and will participate in authentic assessment to develop knowledge and skills.
The Child and Community major provides a comprehensive introduction to a range of social sciences related areas and a strong grounding in contemporary issues facing children and their families from a critical perspective. This major provides a good foundation for people interested in a career in the human services with a particular interest in children.

The major seeks to equip students with multi-cultural knowledge as well as to provide a thorough grounding in research methods and ethics with utility in a variety of professional and academic contexts.

The Bachelor of Accounting holds triple accreditation with CPA (Certified Public Accountant) Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand (CAANZ), and the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA). Depending on your majors, you’ll also be eligible to become a member of the Financial Planning Association or register with the Tax Practitioners Board as a tax agent.

Financial Planning and Taxation

The Financial Planning and Taxation Major is available to participants enrolled in the Bachelor of Accounting. The specialised subjects in this major analyse contemporary issues relevant to financial planning and taxation using case studies and discussion.

The subjects is designed to meet the requirements for admission to the CFP program of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) for those seeking a career in that profession.

This major satisfies the accreditation requirements of the Financial Planning Association (FPA). Completion of this major also meets the RG146 generic knowledge requirements, specialist knowledge requirements and skills requirements as they currently stand.

Western Sydney University's Advanced Medical Science degree allows all the flexibility of the Medical Science degree and is designed for high-achieving students who want to extend themselves.

 Anatomy and Physiology

This degree will provide you with the opportunity to learn about the basic sciences underpinning human health, wellbeing and its application to human disease. The anatomy and physiology major focuses on the anatomy and physiology of the human body in relation to health and disease. The degree also allows for enrolment in a variety of free electives, so students can design their own learning journey.

Students must maintain a grade point average of 5 or above to remain in the program. Those who do not maintain this average will be transferred to the Bachelor of Medical Science.

The Bachelor of Laws (Non-Graduate) (Honours) program is designed for high achieving law students who wish to undertake an extended level of study and research. There is no direct entry into the Honours program. Entry is by application only following completion of at least 160 credit points of Law study and by meeting other specified criteria.The Bachelor of Laws (Non Graduate Entry) (Honours) program satisfies the academic degree requirements for admission to practice as an Australian lawyer. The Applied Finance major equips you with the expert skills to create a career as a finance specialist. In this major you will develop in-depth knowledge of finance with a focus on investment and securities, economics, and banking and finance.

The core units in the Bachelor of Business will provide you a foundation of business knowledge and develop your skills in innovation, career planning, and numeracy.

The Applied Finance major builds on this knowledge and skills in an applied discipline based context. It satisfies the educational requirements for membership of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (Finsia).
