Construction Engineering

Construction Engineering consists of core subjects in structural engineering, project management and construction technologies. Graduates will work in the fields of construction, structural design, and project management. Career opportunities include those in the private or public sector on projects covering highways, airports, and residential & commercial buildings.

Sustainability

Human society is facing ever increasing challenges from changing climate, expanding populations and industrial development. Traditional approaches to solve environmental problems needs rethinking and should consider circular economy, life cycle thinking, climate smartness, digitisation. In this Major, students assess various challenges in provision of water, food, infrastructure and energy then propose design solutions using holistic, futuristic and sustainable technologies and strategies. Through hands-on, real-life projects, students explore solutions that integrate technical, technological (IoT), social, cultural, geographical, regulatory and ethical factors. This major will benefit students aiming for careers such as Environmental Engineer/Scientist/Consultant, Natural Resources Manager, Waste Engineer/Manger/ Consultant, and Sustainability Engineer/ Manager/ Consultant.

The Master of Property Investment and Development provides the opportunity for you to engage in an advanced level of study in property investment and development.

This degree allows you to understand the multi-disciplinary nature of property investment and development, and to develop the analytical and decision making skills necessary for property investment and development, and property professionals.

This property program has an outstanding reputation in the property industry, with many students moving into major careers in the property industry in Australia and overseas.

Industrial design is a vital part of modern-day living. Every day of our lives, we encounter products designed and manufactured with the intention of making our lives easier. It is industrial designers, incorporating a lateral and cross-disciplinary approach to problem solving, who create the most useful products.

The primary focus of our Industrial Design program is ensuring that our graduates are completely industry-ready, able to think strategically and provide innovative design solutions in a commercial context. The program promotes an awareness of the place of design in society and its effect on people, the environment and the economy, and provides students with the ability to work independently or collaboratively.

Design Practice

This major has a focus on change, digital innovation and incorporates simulation and incubators for students who wish to pursue a corporate design role, or build their own start-up business generating new value and driving dynamic careers.

Project management plays an important role in most, if not all, occupations. Be skilled and prepared to apply key project management concepts and practices across a variety of professions.

Our graduates are proficient in domain-specific customising of a project management life cycle and in developing comprehensive project plans involving cost and quality control, managing risks and stakeholders. You will also develop efficient schedules while being able to act as an effective communicator.

Since project management occurs in a team setting, our project managers are taught to master team leadership and to understand team dynamics and behaviour in different team settings.

With an emphasis on digital marketing, this program prepares students for positions in marketing through an industry informed and applied education approach. You’ll learn how to optimize the customer experience, get the most out of digital marketing strategy, understand the impact of multichannel marketing and take on the new frontiers of branding.

This program is ideally suited for those wanting to cultivate their marketing knowledge to perform as managerial and marketing professionals in a digitally informed environment.

The only degree of its kind in Australia, the Master of Humanitarian and Development Studies responds to the need for qualified workers in disaster relief and development, in government and non-government agencies involved in humanitarian operations and development practice.

Change makers like you are required to deliver specialist humanitarian aid relief to people dealing with disasters. That’s the focus of our Master of Humanitarian and Development Studies.

This degree encompasses both the aid and health sectors with a focus on rehabilitation and development. Visualisations and Graphics

Study 2D and 3D visualisations and how to utilise them in a moden visual world.

Students will learn about the use of the computer programming in creative spaces. This is then applied in the study of the human-computer relationship

Property

The Property major equips you with the expert skills to create a career as a property specialist. You will be prepared to succeed in a range of roles in the property industry, including careers in valuation, property investment, property funds management and property development.

The practical Property major units focus on the property investment, business, planning and law, with opportunities for engagement with industry, dependent on availability. If you are seeking professional accreditation, you will also undertake specialised units in building and statutory and specialised valuation.

The core units in the Bachelor of Business will provide you with a foundation of business knowledge and develop your skills in innovation, career planning, and numeracy. The Property major builds on this knowledge and skills in an applied discipline based context.

Property specialists work for institutional investors with multi-billion dollar commercial property portfolios, major property companies, valuation firms and leading property advisory companies, both in Australia and overseas.

The Bachelor of Business (Property) is accredited by the Australian Property Institute (API) and depending on electives chosen, students may be eligible for API Certified Practising Valuer (CPV) certification. Students, depending on chosen electives, are also eligible for API certifications of Certified Property Practitioner, Certified Property Manager, Certified Asset Manager and Certified Development Practitioner. Note: Accreditation is currently being sought for program 6037 Diploma in Business/Bachelor of Business.
