The Bachelor of Early Childhood Care & Education (ECCE) offers students a range of academic and education courses that blend theory and practice in the early years, engaging with research and theory.
Three core threads are intertwined throughout the degree: Curriculum, Childhoods, and Leadership and Advocacy. Students are invited to engage in critically reflective practice, working to create classrooms of social justice and equity for children and families.

Courses in the first two years meet the requirements of MCFD for:

• ECE Certificate to Practice
• Infant/Toddler Certificate to Practice, and/or
• Special Needs Certificate to Practice
• The ECCE degree is a pathway to elementary teacher education programs at SFU and UBC.

The Associate of Arts degree in Creative Writing is a two year long baccalaureate program which deals with contemporary literature, creative writing, reading, understanding basic writing concepts and many more. As Canada’s population ages and becomes more health-conscious, the career opportunities for people with a background in kinesiology are stronger than ever.
Growing career paths include exercise physiology, health promotion and leadership, sport science, personal training and more.

During the program, you’ll take courses in a variety of disciplines relating to health, including anatomy and physiology, biomechanics, leadership, health promotion, career and professional preparation, research methods and ethics.

Starting in your third year, you’ll choose your specialization: exercise science or health promotion. From here, you will expand your knowledge in advanced courses in your area of interest while being supported and mentored one-on-one by CapU’s expert faculty.

Capilano University offers a 2 year long baccalaureate degree in English called an Associate of Arts in English program. Under the Associate of Arts Degree the students study all kinds of literature from modern to classics and contemporary works of literature for two years. Associate of Arts Degree consist of a total of 60 university credits with a total of 18 credits in the first and second year English.

The Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Applied Behaviour Analysis - Autism provides students with existing baccalaureate degrees from an accredited university the opportunity to obtain an additional credential that would enable them to work with children, youth and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders.

The coursework and experiential component of the Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Applied Behaviour Analysis-Autism qualify students to write the professional certification exam of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board™ (BACB™) and then become a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst™ (BCaBA™).

Filmmaking is an art and this art is in high demand during the present time. All kinds of films whether commercial or art are gaining audience and one such genre is documentary making. Capilano University offers its undergraduate students a diploma in documentary making which spans over a period of 12 months. Through this program students are helped with developing skills needed to produce, direct, write and edit documentaries. Students work with trained, highly professional, award winning filmmakers and expert faculty members who guide the students at every step of the way.

The School of Motion Picture Arts at Capilano University, the whole process of documentary making and learning starts from the ground level and gradually students are taught the tips & tricks of the trade. The program follows a professional production cycle from story concept and development, to pre-production, production, post-production and distribution and marketing phases. A number of graduates from this program work as award winning filmmakers and work from research and entry level roles to post production, students have succeeded in a variety of roles. 

The Diploma in Tourism Management for International Students is an undergraduate diploma program stretching over a period of 2 years. The School of Tourism Management at Capilano University has exclusively designed this program for international students who do not use English as their first language.
