In Sheridan's Computer Systems Technology – Software Development and Network Engineering program, you'll gain experience with many platforms and environments. Using cutting-edge computer systems technologies (such as Android, iOS and Unity) and industry standards (such as Java, Oracle, C, C# and .NET), you'll learn to create solutions to real-world problems.

Gain valuable, practical experience
During your time at Sheridan, you'll have the opportunity to apply for a co-op placement where you can get paid workplace experience in software development and network engineering. You may be able to earn a high-paying co-op placement, and many of our students are hired by their co-op employers after graduation. You'll need to fill out a separate co-op application and enrolment is limited.

A realistic work environment
Developed in response to industry need, this three-semester program simulates a realistic work environment in which designers, coders and artists integrate their skills. You'll learn to communicate game level design concepts and gain practical skills to implement and evaluate this knowledge in a simulated work situation. Note: This program is held consecutively – September to August.

A well-rounded skill set
The Sheridan game level design courses focus on offering applied, real-world skill development. Assignments and class work focus on case studies. You'll learn both 2D and 3D game design, while gaining industry-specific skills in game design and development, story and scripting, cinematography and sound, multi-player systems, game documentation and play testing.

Ontario's digital game industry is poised for growth, and so is the demand for game level designers. With the Game Level Design Graduate Certificate program from Sheridan, you'll be ready to step right into an exciting game design career.

This program will equip you with the skills you need to support students with a range of special needs. You'll use modified curricula and materials, including assistive technology, to accommodate their diverse strengths and developmental needs, and you'll learn to maintain a safe and professional environment that promotes students' well being.

Sheridan’s Early Childhood Education – Intensive program helps you provide young children with the best possible education and care

This program was created specifically for students who have already completed university or college programs in a related field and want to fast-track their early childhood education career. The ECE – Intensive program is of particular interest to those returning to a second career educating children or for those who have international credentials not currently recognized as equivalent to ECE.

??????????????Practicum gives workplace experience
You'll undertake a 40-hour practicum during Year 2 of your make-up artist program. This practicum is driven by your areas of interest and can range from working in a photographer's studio or in live theatre to helping with make-up application for television.

Beginning in your first year of studies, you’ll take courses in each of the five streams of our Craft and Design degree: Glass, Ceramics, Textiles, Furniture and Industrial Design. You’ll understand how to combine multiple materials and processes into one project, helping you develop your own unique artistic voice.

Take the design process from beginning to end
Sheridan's Industrial Design program gives you the tools to create smart, innovative and meaningful design. You'll go through the entire design process — from research to finished product. You'll look at design problems and imagine, develop and test solutions for specific audiences. Working with our other studios, you'll connect design with creation, broadening your knowledge.

State-of-the-art facilities
In this program, you'll use the latest technology to prepare you for success in the industrial design industry. You'll learn both digital fabrication methods and hand processes. Access to our state-of-the-art FAB LAB (with 3D printers and laser cutters) and our amazing faculty and students in other studios gives you a broad skill set to get you ready for a rewarding career.

Get a foundation in all Craft and Design studios
Our program provides a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach to craft and design. You'll major in your studio of choice while building skills in the four other disciplines. You'll work with students and faculty from across all five studios on interdisciplinary projects that bring together a range of expertise and experiences to explore the potential of contemporary art, craft and design.

ATVF integrates the practical, technical and creative aspects of television and film studies while providing direct, industry-relevant experience. You'll develop your creativity while gaining the specialized skills you need to bring your ideas and vision to life on the screen. You'll also acquire an understanding of new technologies and production methods, enabling you to stay current.

Get immersed in the industry

• Learn sophisticated production techniques and explore a variety of digital image capture systems and technologies.
• Gain skills in areas such as directing, screenwriting, cinematography, editing, sound, production design and post-production.
• Build career connections during a four-week job placement.
• Produce dramatic or documentary films.

Professional faculty and facilities
Our instructors and production facilities rank second to none among film schools in Canada. You'll work in professional surroundings, learn from practicing filmmakers with years of industry experience, and be immersed in the culture of the television and film industry — and, in just one academic year, you can become part of it.

In the technical areas, camera students will work in professional-style camera teams coached by industry gaffers, 1st ACs and cinematographers. Students shoot on both documentary and cinema cameras. Audio students are trained in software such as Pro Tools. Sheridan has two industry-style mixing theatres for audio mix playback. Students can screen their final films on a cinema-size screen with an industry-quality projector and a Dolby surround-sound environment.

Sheridan's Advanced Television and Film (ATVF) program provides a benchmark of excellence for film schools in Canada. Our student work consistently wins awards at film festivals in North America, and our camera students have won Canadian Society of Cinematographer "Best Student Cinematography" nominations in two of the last three years.
