The Master of Medical Biotechnology is a professional program that provides students with both a solid foundation of the theoretical concepts and practical industrially applicable laboratory technique experiences used in medical biotechnology industries. In addition, students will also receive training in business plan development and product commercialization.

The skills and knowledge taught in this program will allow you to develop a successful career in biotech entrepreneurship, medical and pharmaceutical materials characterization, medical diagnostics or biotechnology product development/monitoring. In addition, the Master of Medical Biotechnology program can be a route for career advancement if you are currently employed in biotechnology and/or related medical and pharmaceutical industries.

You will study and live in Canada for approximately 16 months while enrolled in 10 prescribed courses. The courses will have multi-disciplinary relevance and provide the practical knowledge required to excel in the complex environment of Medical Biotechnology.

The MMB graduate degree is a self-funded professional program. Students who register in this program are not eligible for government funding, i.e. Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP), and therefore must ensure that they have sufficient financial resources to meet their total cost of attendance.

Drama and English Literature

Choose a concentration in performance, history and theory, design/technical theatre, or a combination of two or all three. Start your program with an introduction to Psychology course for psych majors only, where you get to work in small groups led by mentors to help you along. You can do research and community placements throughout your undergraduate years. Our Honours Psychology program includes advanced courses in various areas of psychology and prepares students to apply for non-psychology professional degrees.

Economics is a science that studies how a society uses its scarce resources to produce the goods and services that its members desire. The study of economics will provide you with an understanding of how individuals, firms and public agencies influence what is produced, how it is produced, and who gets to consume what is produced. 

At UWindsor, you will learn how the actions of individuals, firms and public agencies ultimately determine the direction of the overall economy. You will acquire the tools necessary to answer such important economic questions as: how do we reduce Canada’s unemployment rate; what are the effects of government deficits and spending cuts; and what are the effects of globalization on the Canadian economy? 

You will also learn the skills to analyze economic problems and view them from the perspective of different groups in society based on their particular interests. 

Consider this — all our grads in this program have found a job in their chosen field within two years of graduation. We are tied for first in graduate employment rate. This dual degree will provide you with the tools and knowledge necessary to understand the people side of business. You will learn how to engage and motivate your workforce to maximize profits, run an efficient organization and promote a great work environment.

Advance your skills with the Engineering Technology degree. If you have an 3-year, advanced technology diploma, or a degree in a scientific or technical subject, this program is for you. Follow one of the specializations: mechatronics, mechanical, civil or stay in the general stream. Learning from our exceptional profs benefits you when preparing to write the PEng exams. This one-year program will give you more career mobility.

• Actuarial science includes a number of interrelated subjects, including probability, mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, and mathematics of finance.
• The Master of Actuarial Science will prepare you for the professional exams necessary to become an Actuary in North America with accreditation accepted in many other parts of the world.
• You will study and live in Canada for approximately 16 months (4 academic terms) while enrolled in a total of 12 courses.
• The courses will include actuarial mathematics as required for the Society of Actuaries (SOA) professional exams.
• As a professional graduate program, alumni of the M.Act.Sc program are well prepared for careers in insurance, pensions, and healthcare industries. Graduates can also participate in one of the regular offerings of the Society of Actuaries (SOA) exams offered on-site.
