The Communication, Media, and Film and Political Science combined program allows students to study and explore a wide range of topics in both disciplines. Through political science, students will study power – who holds it, how it is exercised, how you can influence and gain access to power, and how our lives are influenced by politically important institutions and individuals. When combined with communication, media, and film, you can be at the centre of exploring the most dynamic changes in our increasingly complex media landscape as well as the broader cultural, social economic, and political implications of contemporary and emergent technologies.

The University of Windsor, Faculty of Engineering offers a Master of Engineering (MEng) Program which is course-based designed for working professionals or recent graduates who want to increase their knowledge in multiple, advanced topics.

The Engineering Materials Graduate Program is to provide an outstanding learning environment for productive graduate research, to maintain state-of-the-art research laboratories equipped with the most modern research equipment to offer students with opportunities for a rewarding education. To keep self-sustained growth by a high output of student co-authored peer-reviewed research publications, and strengthening collaborative research with other universities and industry. To expose students to challenging industrial problems that are studied using a sound scientific methodology and experimental/theoretical research skills. To prepare students for careers in teaching and/or research in academia or in industry. To train students to acquire autonomy in conducting innovative research.

Political Science

Our political science program introduces you to political, economic, social, and environmental issues in Canada and around the world. We offer a great mentorship program, opportunities to do research with faculty, and the ability to complete an internship in fourth year. Our active and engaged department is home to the Political Science Society, the Model UN Club, and arranges an annual trip to Europe through the EU Study Abroad course.

Communication, Media, and Film
Get the best of both worlds with this “hybrid” program that offers a combination of theory and production courses. You’ll be able to pursue what interests you – theory courses in media studies, hands-on courses in film production, as well as courses on social media, PR, and advertising

Benefit from training in both psychology and disability studies in this program that gives you lots of hands-on learning opportunities. We offer community volunteer experience and placements, giving you an edge when it comes time to launch your career. We’re here to give you the individual support you need to succeed.

Spread the love of music in this program that focuses on the methods and practice of teaching. You’ll take specific voice or instrument training, and also learn music theory, the foundations of music education and basic conducting. Examine humanities most challenging questions in this internationally renowned program known for its courses in political thought and argumentation theory. Philosophy gives you a broad vision of the world and the ability to make intelligent decisions, laying the foundation for a variety of careers. You can study philosophy exclusively, or combine it with another discipline. Classes are small and full of opportunities to discuss today’s most pressing topics such as artificial intelligence, feminism, the environment and politics.

The course-based Master of Engineering - Mechanical Engineering (Automotive Option) will prepare graduates for leadership positions within the automotive and manufacturing industries. You will study and live in Canada for approximately 16 consecutive months and take a variety of topics through eight prescribed courses. These courses are selected by academic administration and will vary from year to year.

The goal of the program is to provide you with the opportunity to extend your understanding of automotive engineering principles, with an emphasis on operation, design, materials and manufacturing along with some aspects of business and management.

You will combine what you learn in the classroom with practical application so that you are ready for the world of opportunities that will follow your university studies.

Co-op
The MEng-Mechanical Engineering (Automotive Option) has an optional co-op portion. Co-op is an opportunity for students to work in an automotive related company during one semester of school.
All students will apply for co-op, however it is a competitive program and we may not have a placement opportunity for all students.
