M.Sc. in Microbiology is a 2-year postgraduate programmewhich deals with more detailed and advanced study of the microorganisms, including microbial cellular processes, their harmful and beneficial aspects, microbes for human welfare, molecular details of microbial cells and develops knowledge and understanding for applying it for societal benefits which may include sectors such as healthcare, agriculture, soil and environment, food processing, pharmaceutical etc. The objective of this programme is to produce intellectual and proficient microbiologists by enhancing the abilities and skills of students for application of microbiology theories and expertise in the live problems faced by the industry.

It is a comprehensive teacher training course and it covers core principles and philosophical foundations of traditional Yoga. Ideal for Yoga novices it covers an introduction to the study of Patanjali's Yoga Sutra, Hatha Yoga Pradipika, and Gheranda Samhita. Further, complete immersion into practical experiences of the principal Yoga asanas, pranayamas, Kiryas, concept studies, public speaking, the methodology of teaching, etc. are covered.Detailed anatomy and physiology classes conducted by Yoga experts will cover theory and practice.

With an objective to prepare a skilled workforce in the field of civil engineering, Assam down town University offers job-oriented studies with a 4-year B.Tech in Civil Engineering. This pragramme deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including public works such as roads, bridges, canals, dams, airports, sewerage systems, pipelines, structural components of buildings, and railways. D. Pharmacy or D. Pharma is a diploma level programme for aspirants who wish to study Pharmacy and opt for a career option in medicine. It is a 2-year full-time diploma programme designed to prepare candidates to work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist in hospitals, community pharmacies, and other pharmaceutical-related fields.

Master in Sociology comprises of four semesters with papers introducing them to the domain of sociology. The programme has been developed with an objective to enlighten the students towards the understanding of social reality. The sociology programme in particular aimed at identifying and addressing society's needs and issues related to oppression, cultural diversity along with social and economic justice. Actuarial Science is the field of study where the risks of any insurance industry or business is quantified using Mathematics and Statistics to ensure that they are financially stable for now or in the future years to come. In Actuarial Science, the students will be able to learn about insurance risk calculation, insurance premiums, application of economic and mathematical analyses for making any decision in financial planning, insurance investment, and management among all the others.

B.Sc. Nursing deals with the knowledge of providing nursing care to individuals, families and communities. It also provides nursing care based on steps of nursing process in collaboration with the other health care team members.The programme aims to provide preventive, curative and rehabilitative aspects of nursing care.
