A four semester program, to enable graduate students to pursue doctoral studies or professional employment, through imparting in depth knowledge in specific areas of Microbiology along with three semester dissertation.

Emphasizes on off-the-shelf research to create new knowledge and explore future challenges. The researcher is expected to identify the research gaps, formulate objectives, develop methodologies for finding solutions to real life problems.

A two year programme provides knowledge across the biological hierarchy to address insect conservation and biodiversity, to mitigate negative impacts of invasive species and harm caused by them. Competence in the identification of pests and their management, beekeeping, mass multiplication of an important biological agent, offering the opportunity to carry in different sectors.

Focus is on building concepts in biological sciences and enabling them to apply their experimental knowledge in various sectors of life sciences specially in plant biology/phytology.

The Ph.D. Programme composes a coursework in consonence with the recommendation of ICAR and in depth research on an advanced topic concerning various aspects ofPlant Pathology including virus, bacteria, fungi, nematodes and their interactions. Specialization befitting with the current research areas on any of the pathogens leading to indepth studies on epidemioligical, host parasite relationship, biocontrol, plant diseases resistance, seed pathology and integrated disease management. The students can complete the degree requirements within 3 years.
