B.A. (Hons.) in Sociology is an undergraduate program which deals with various aspects of social behavior and its consequence on modern society. Sociology is a branch of study which investigates into multiple aspects of society and social behavior. A Bachelor degree in Sociology teaches the fundamental concepts related to structure of society, organization of society, and how humans interact within these constructs. The basic subject matter of Sociology concerns itself with topics related to family structure, global warfare, religious cults, social class, race and gender etc.

The program has been designed in way to develop graduates with key practical skills and interdisciplinary knowledge essential for tomorrow’s leaders. The program also provides necessary skills in written communication, problem-solving, interpersonal understanding and critical thinking.

M.Sc. (Botany) is the scientific study of plants, or multicellular organisms, that carry on photosynthesis. Botanists examine both the internal functions and processes within plant organelles, cells, tissues, whole plants, plant populations and plant communities. At each of these levels, a botanist may be concerned with the classification of plant life. Modern botany is a broad, multidisciplinary subject with inputs from most other areas of science and technology. Various Research topics in the field of Botany cover a wide range of Scientific disciplines that include the study of Plant sctructure, Growth and Differentiation, Reproduction, Metabolism, Biochmistry, Diseases, Systematics & Plant taxonomy, Ecology, Chemical properties and Evolutionary relationships between different groups.

The students acquire knowledge in the field of social sciences, literature and humanities which make them sensitive and sensible enough. The B.A. graduates will be acquainted with the social, economic, historical, geographical, political, ideological and philosophical tradition and thinking. The program also empowers the graduates to appear for various competitive examinations or choose the post graduate programme of their choice. The B. A. program enables the students to acquire the knowledge with human values framing the base to deal with various problems in life with courage and humanity. The students will be ignited enough to think and act over for the solution of various issues prevailed in the human life to make this world better than ever.

Civil engineering, the oldest and broadest of the divisions of engineering, implements a range of public and private projects for improving society’s physical infrastructure and the environment. The civil engineer integrates scientific principles with engineering experience to plan, design, and construct networks of highways and railroads, airports, bridges and dams, environmental pollution control systems, industrial structures, water purification and distribution systems, and urban transportation systems that maintain, protect, and enhance the quality of life. Civil engineers are trained to consider the social effects as well as the physical and environmental factors that constrain the planning, design, construction, and operation of their projects. The program gives students the theoretical background, instruction in engineering application of scientific principles, and professional attitude to serve the public.

Today, Computers have changed the very texture of life. The phenomenal technological advancements made in the field of Computer Science are really mind-boggling. We are heading towards an era of self-driven cars, unmanned airplanes, the robot managed business centers. The day is not far when the computers will read and translate the thoughts of a human being. Computers have touched every sphere of life. The emergence of new technologies like multi-core processor, mobile computing and cloud computing is redefining the boundaries of computing. The interdisciplinary approach has brought with it new challenges.

Electronics is fundamental to many electrical and electronic appliances which we use today. This makes the job of an electronics engineer both exciting and challenging. Primary duty of B. Tech Electronics Communication Engineering is to produce electronics and communication engineers having strong theoretical foundation, good blueprint experience and exposure to research and development and to impart quality education, training and research at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels in various areas of Electronics and Communication Engineering with priority on design aspects of electronic systems.
