Internet of Things (IoT) is a wide and rapidly developing area with expected strong and growing implications for the industry. Numerous IoT research and application projects have been done by universities or in joint industry-university consortia in recent years. However an important question is on value creation for industry. IoT applications in the sense of this industry workshop are solutions using IoT technologies to improve industrial manufacturing processes, enable new and efficient ways to do operate production plants, create new service or supervision means for industrial installations, offer an optimized infrastructure, reduce operational cost or improve human safety in industrial areas.From an industry point of view value creation form IoT applications and sustainability are essential.

Diploma in Electrical Engineering is a 3 year skill-enabling engineering programme that students can pursue after completing class 10. The course deals with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, magnetism, control systems, signal processing and telecommunications.

At RIT, the program focuses on teaching the fundamentals of augmented reality (AR), and how to build an AR experience using ARCore. This program aims to develop graduates that are not only well versed with computing approaches, tools, and technologies, but are also experienced with Design approaches and new Media technologies and uses. It will prepare students to work in the industry as well as digital media industry like gaming, animation, virtual/augmented reality, etc. 

This program will provide graduates with a highly relevant skill set in Gaming & immersive systems (Augmented and Virtual Reality) development and an understanding of how people and technology interact. Through the programme students will gain an understanding of major issues around application development for VR and AR alongside practical skills for creating engaging and immersive interactive experiences. Students will graduate with a portfolio of creative and technical work that has been completed to a professional standard.

MBA Business Analytics or Master of Business Administration Business Analytics is a post-graduate programme which can be completed in 2 years.

The purpose of this center is to provide real working environment to the students during software development and project completion. The center also accepts the consultancy for System Development, Project Preparation, Project Implementation, and Feasibility Analysis. Our software development center has trained manpower as groups of faculty and brilliant students. Besides these, the department is poised for actively conducting industry and application oriented research in various areas. Some of them are Algorithms Design, Neural Network, Multi-Processing, Theory of Computation, Artificial Intelligence, Graphics and Visualization, Performance Modeling, Software Engineering, Mobile Computing etc. 

Data Science is a blend of mathematics, business acumen, tools, algorithms and machine learning techniques which can help us to find the hidden insights or patterns from raw-data which can be helpful for big business decisions.

It includes the study of data and creating means through which data can be recorded, stored, processed and analyzed to properly extract important information. The data could be used to attain deep insights for decision making purposes. At RIT, with state of the art computer labs with the latest softwares such as Python, SQL, Scala, Java and R; a student can excel in data science. 

Robotics Engineering is an interdisciplinary branch of electrical engineering & mechanical engineering. A robot is a reprogrammable, multifunctional manipulator designed to move material, parts, tools or specialized devices through variable programmed motions for the performance of a variety of tasks. The increased demand of current industry for efficiencies and safety of humans has led to a greater need for professionals with an added expertise in the field of ‘Robotics & Automation’. Robotics & Automation includes design, construction, operation, and application of robots coupled with computer based control systems, sensory feedback, and information processing. The design of a robotic system puts together principles of electronic engineering, mechanical engineering and computer engineering.

The Energy Engineers job profile includes discovering the new non-renewable energy sources and conserving the non-renewable sources of energy & supplying a good amount of sustainable resources. It also gives hands-on practice through practical field programmes. It is a broad field of engineering dealing with energy efficiency, energy services, environmental compliance and alternative energy technologies. The programme provides the engineering graduates with the knowledge base of how to use energy in the most environmental friendly and with economically efficient way. Energy engineers can develop technical skill in all matters to do with energy and environmental control and contribute in sustainable energy initiatives and researching new energy methods. Their field is not limited to strictly renewable energy like hydro, solar, biomass, or geothermal.  Energy engineers are also employed by Energy Generation companies, Academic institutions, Energy Consulting companies, Research Departments and Oil & Gas Exploration Agencies.

The programme also provides insights in solving problems in the storage, distribution, and utilization of energy using techniques such as analysis, design, and case studies. 

The BMLT course enables the students to acquire the scientific basis, theoretical and the practical preparation necessary to practice the profession of a Bio-medical Laboratory Technician. The methodology and culture necessary to acquire the attitude for lifelong learning of relevant medical practices, competence level and confidence of a professional, decision-making ability and operational autonomy to master all the necessary skills and their immediate usability in the workplace are embedded in the pedagogy.

The students thus acquire the professional skills through theoretical and practical training that also include the acquisition of behavioural skills in the specific work context, duly connected with the proper understanding of the associated medical subjects.

M Tech in Production Engineering is a 2-year postgraduate course divided into 4 semesters.
