Plant Biotechnology assist developing new varieties of crop like genetically engineered crop, marker assisted selection, genetics and genomics, etc. This field of study helps in identifying and mapping genes, discovering their functions and transferring desired gene to specific plants as per requirement. This branch of study also focuses on all aspects of genetic engineering process to enhance efficiency, expression and precision of added gene.

Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Legislative Law (BBA + LLB) is a five-year integrated dual degree course which provides an integrated study of management studies and legislative law in an entirely independent manner.

This is a five-year program that offers domain-specific subjects ranging from Making of the Indian Constitution, Jurisprudential Approach to Constitution to Comparative Federalism, and Legislative Relations. Drawing heavily from the rulings made in the Supreme Court, it is designed to preserve the relationships between state and federal governments and protect the rights of the individual. M.Sc. with specialization of nutrition and dietetics is two year master program, which covers all theory and practical courses of nutrition and dietetics.  This program enable the students to learn the methods of assessing human nutritional requirements, nutritional assessment and diet planning.

The specialisation educates students in regulating and resolving disputes relating to both individual labour laws i.e. the employees’ rights at work and the employment standards as well as the tripartite labour laws i.e. the relationship between the employer, employee, and the union. UPES provides students with an opportunity to complete two seminar papers and a dissertation exclusively in labour laws under the mentorship of the faculty and an industry-based professional.

Students pursuing Banking, Financial Services and Insurance learn about essential computer Science concepts such as algorithm, data structures, OOPS concepts with java and advanced Java, with databases and software engineering design processes. This core competency is catered to students and concepts of Data Science and Informatics are demystifying along with core competencies at appropriate positions. 

Biosimilar is that branch of study which deals with study of drugs that are very similar to original product, but not identical. They are not generic drugs and do not possess the same active pharmaceutical ingredient, yet comparable to original reference drug in terms of quality, safety and efficacy. Biosimilar are alternative potential therapeutics but not generics. For biosimilar products, the manufacturing process requires a high level of monitoring and testing.  

At UPES, B.Tech. Biotechnology students with a specialization in Biosimilar will be made familiar with existing regulations, manufacturing sciences and distribution practices of Biosimilar products in India and all across the globe. Students will learn about controversies associated with Generic drugs and need for development of Biosimilar products. Students will also learn how a drug is discovered in a lab, followed by testing in clinical trials and then launched in market for commercialization.

The course is a concoction of the study of commerce and law. By completing this integrated course, a student can learn about two different professional fields. The specialised law course, in its five-years duration, equips the students with the knowledge of both commerce and legislative regulations as a comprehensive concept.

The course trains students to assist clients in setting up and managing their businesses across India. The program is a blend of legal functioning of the corporate entities with compliances required by them. Students will be able to provide end-to-end advisory service regarding the most suitable form of organization, based on the client’s specific needs and objectives. This may include incorporation and setting up of all types of Companies, creating a business setup in India through a branch or liaison office, obtaining statutory approvals and licenses for starting a business from local, municipal, state, and central government authorities.

Business Process Disruptions focus on risks associated with business processes. In this program, the nature of disruptions are understood in detail with a focus on supply chain and logistics. The importance of continuous operations, criticality of IT in business processes, barriers to supply chain transformation, and threat of competitive forces is studied.
