The Graduate Diploma in Arts (Social Anthropology) will give you the equivalent of an undergraduate major in social anthropology without completing a second bachelor’s degree. A Massey Graduate Diploma in Arts (Social Anthropology) is a bridging tool for graduates in other subjects to get the equivalent of a major in social anthropology.

With Massey's Master of Engineering, you will develop a more in-depth understanding of an area of your choice, within the field of electronics and computer engineering.

History is a topic as large as our recorded past. Our cultural heritages, literatures, arts, religions, politics, economics, social behaviours, buildings and landscapes all derive from past influences.

Massey offers a range of topics so you can explore your own particular interests. Topics you could study include:

• The history of New Zealand and the Pacific
• Focus on the history of Britain/Europe
• Study pre-industrial society or colonisation
• Social and political history, or
• Contemporary history.

With Massey’s Postgraduate Diploma in Construction (Digital Built Environment) you’ll gain construction management skills for the modern world.
You’ll gain knowledge in the following areas:

• Application of Building Information Modelling (BIM) tools across the lifecycle of a building project.
• Examine data collection and analysis techniques, and their application in construction research.
• Become familiar with new technologies such as drones, virtual reality, 3D printing and other technologies as they apply to the construction industry.
• Develop a broad understanding of current construction industry operations, systems and technology. These include:

The Diploma in Business Studies is a flexible program that can be completed in one year full-time. 

With a Massey Diploma in Arts, you can study what you enjoy and explore subject areas that spark your interest.

You can complete the Diploma in Arts with or without an endorsement in a subject area. Completing the diploma without endorsement lets you sample different subjects and build a qualification that reflects your own particular interests.

If you want to take an endorsement, you can choose from 25 subjects from the Bachelor of Arts degree and specialise in the one that sparks your passion.

Massey’s Diploma in Arts is extremely flexible and you can include courses from many disciplines, including some from outside the humanities and social sciences.

Massey’s Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) will give you the applied skills and knowledge to become a sought-after ICT professional, able to take on a wide variety of roles in the software industry.

Massey teaches students the applied skills and knowledge needed to succeed. Massey is the only university in New Zealand specialising in the C and C++ programming languages that are highly sought after by employers. You’ll also learn Java, Python, SQL and other languages. Every computer science course includes practical assignments.

Sociology is about understanding and describing our local society and its global setting. Sociologists are interested in almost all aspects of the social world. During your study of the Bachelor of Arts (Sociology), you will consider questions such as:

• How is society changing?
• What divides or unites social groups?
• What causes the inequalities we see in society?
• How does power operate?

With a Massey BA (Sociology) you will ask challenging questions about how things really are in the social world. Culture, ethnicity, class, inequality, gender, mass media, politics, environment, social change and individual and group interactions are important areas that you will study. This is a broad subject that will teach to you think critically about the world and investigate social issues.
