This program is a significant part of the Maritime New Zealand (MNZ) training requirements for students to gain the internationally recognised Standards of Training and Certification of Watchkeepers (STCW) Officer in Charge of an Engineering Watch Class 3 certificate of competency. The blended delivery of the program also contributes to your employability by enhancing your core transferable skills; particularly digital literacy, problem solving, communication skills and team work.

With this qualification you can start your career in an entry-level Information Technology support role, or pathway into the second year of the Bachelor of Information Technology.

The New Zealand Diploma in Business Level 5 Leadership and Management strand allows you to launch your career in management with the operational skills to lead the charge in business’s daily functions. You will learn the fundamentals of business operations covering leadership, human resource management, law, Treaty of Waitangi and more. The Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Management is the first 10 months of the 15 month Master of Applied Management. This program aims to enable students to enhance their applied management skills and knowledge by focussing on more specific and in-depth aspects of management.
