Management is about relationships – the art and science of people and process. Study the Bachelor of Business (Management) and you'll gain an understanding of how business operates and how to effectively manage resources and operations. This programme is designed with teamwork and project based coursework to best prepare you for success in the workplace. The second year narrows your focus on your choice of either Human Resources or Operations, and you will then apply what you’ve developed in your Internship Based Learning (IBL) work placement, so you get practical experience before you even graduate.

This programme is designed to equip you with the core cybersecurity and technical skills and knowledge you need to protect and manage information and systems security. Learn how to spot potential vulnerabilities and weaknesses of existing and emerging technologies.

Perform cybersecurity risk assessments, communicate results and findings to support risk management processes, and apply relevant security incident-handling techniques to solve complex security problems. This program is an extension of the New Zealand Diploma of Interior Design (Residential) (which is also a prerequisite for this commercial program) and prepares you to develop your knowledge and extend your skills into commercial environments. If you’re looking to enter the commercial interiors industry or if you’re already working in this field and would like to hold the formal qualification, this is the program for you. Our industry-focused approach to learning interior design means that in addition to developing your necessary knowledge and skills in commercial interior design, we also integrate you into the industry. You’ll do this through practical learning, facilitated industry connections, working on actual client projects, guest speakers from industry, undertaking internships within specialist design practices, and much more.  This diploma will advance your technical knowledge and skills of CAD, consenting and documentation processes, products, materials, and lighting design in order to equip you to design for complex environments within the retail, hospitality, and workplace sectors.

Construction sites can involve hundreds of workers and millions of dollars of materials, and construction managers are responsible for managing both. The Bachelor of Construction (Construction Management) prepares you with the knowledge and skills to organise and manage activities on a construction site, including gaining an in-depth knowledge and understanding of management structures, supply chain, people and production management. Become familiar with advanced construction management, contract law, tendering and design management, amongst other things.

The New Zealand Diploma in Veterinary Nursing provides a platform for you to build the hands-on skills and knowledge you need to become a qualified veterinary nurse and help animals maintain the best possible health and quality of life in a clinical environment. Through demonstrations, practical sessions, group work, small group tutorials, and real-life case studies, you'll learn how to manage animal patients and clients, and contribute to the treatment and care of animals. There are plenty of opportunities to put theory into practice at Unitec’s partner sister vet clinic, Vet Care Grey Lynn, as well as your choice of external clinics across Aotearoa. You will graduate as a qualified veterinary nurse who is able to work effectively and efficiently in a clinical setting, and you’ll be eligible for registration with the New Zealand Veterinary Nursing Association.

The Graduate Diploma in Construction Project Management is a great stepping stone if you want to move into management positions in the construction sector. Learn to apply project management knowledge to the construction industry to ensure contracts are completed on time and on budget. You'll be able to solve complex industry-related problems, in teams and alone, and provide leadership in a team environment.
