As a biodiversity management student, you’ll explore how ecosystems function and support biological diversity, and how managers of biodiversity are responding to increasing concern over the impact of human activities on the planet. Find out how society views and influences the natural environment, discover how social, cultural, and policy frameworks influence management decisions, and develop plant identification knowledge and skills. You’ll also develop an appreciation of the influence that government agencies, non-statutory organisations, and voluntary bodies have on biodiversity and biosecurity.

In this practical, field-based program, you will develop the skills required to become a competent, informed, and reflective early childhood teacher who is committed to young children and their learning and development. You can earn while you learn, by working at least 12 hours a week in an early childhood centre from day one, plus spending 2 days a week on campus where you will learn to relate your teaching practice to theory.You will also experience a range of practicum placements at other early childhood centres for 16 weeks over three years. When you graduate, you'll be eligible to become a certified teacher in Aotearoa New Zealand

 In this field you’ll use the latest technologies and work alongside architects and construction specialists to turn design concepts into the documents used to construct a building. The New Zealand Diploma in Architectural Technology will give you the skills to design and produce construction documentation for both residential and commercial buildings. This program is an extension of the New Zealand Diploma of Interior Design (Residential) (which is also a prerequisite for this commercial program) and prepares you to develop your knowledge and extend your skills into commercial environments. If you’re looking to enter the commercial interiors industry or if you’re already working in this field and would like to hold the formal qualification, this is the program for you. Our industry-focused approach to learning interior design means that in addition to developing your necessary knowledge and skills in commercial interior design, we also integrate you into the industry. You’ll do this through practical learning, facilitated industry connections, working on actual client projects, guest speakers from industry, undertaking internships within specialist design practices, and much more.  This diploma will advance your technical knowledge and skills of CAD, consenting and documentation processes, products, materials, and lighting design in order to equip you to design for complex environments within the retail, hospitality, and workplace sectors.

The Masters of Creative Practice enables graphic designers, contemporary artists, photographers, product designers, animators, game designers, performing artists, UX designers, directors, actors, dancers, filmmakers, costume and technical artists, producers, and digital creatives to learn independently and collaboratively in studio and classroom environments. This program supports and challenges you to question ideas, explore new professional practices and develop research and creative practice capabilities at an advanced level in your chosen discipline. 

This diploma is the first year of our Bachelor of Accounting (Level 7). If you do well and enjoy the courses, you’ll be able to transition easily into degree-level study or move straight into work once you’ve graduated. 

You’ll gain an understanding of the general nature of business, the functions in an organisation and the critical role accountants play in the success of a business.
