The New Zealand Diploma in Veterinary Nursing provides a platform for you to build the hands-on skills and knowledge you need to become a qualified veterinary nurse and help animals maintain the best possible health and quality of life in a clinical environment. Through demonstrations, practical sessions, group work, small group tutorials, and real-life case studies, you'll learn how to manage animal patients and clients, and contribute to the treatment and care of animals. There are plenty of opportunities to put theory into practice at Unitec’s partner sister vet clinic, Vet Care Grey Lynn, as well as your choice of external clinics across Aotearoa. You will graduate as a qualified veterinary nurse who is able to work effectively and efficiently in a clinical setting, and you’ll be eligible for registration with the New Zealand Veterinary Nursing Association.

The Postgraduate Diploma in Computing develops your ability to solve complex applied computing problems and gets you up-to-date with the latest advances in information technology. Choose the courses that are most relevant to your career, including data mining, adaptive business intelligence, multimedia development, website management, IT applications, networks, and security. Management is about relationships – the art and science of people and process. Study the Bachelor of Business (Management) and you'll gain an understanding of how business operates and how to effectively manage resources and operations. This programme is designed with teamwork and project based coursework to best prepare you for success in the workplace. The second year narrows your focus on your choice of either Human Resources or Operations, and you will then apply what you’ve developed in your Internship Based Learning (IBL) work placement, so you get practical experience before you even graduate.

The Bachelor of Business (Marketing) provides you with the knowledge and skills to successfully create and manage brands that win consumers’ hearts and minds using both traditional and new methods. You’ll discover how to identify consumers’ needs and wants, develop sound marketing plans and create marketing campaigns for real New Zealand organisations. You'll also learn how to create a social media plan and determine its effectiveness using Google Analytics. This program has been developed, and in some cases is being co-taught, with input from national and international business leaders. You’ll get the opportunity to create and present marketing campaigns for organisations as part of your course work; our students have previously conducted online advertising campaigns (Google AdWords and Facebook advertising) for numerous New Zealand businesses.

The focus of this qualification is on developing the necessary knowledge, skills and attributes to perform meaningful civil engineering work.  As a graduate of this program you’ll be able to use your knowledge to make informed decisions and implement them; competently perform technical work using national and international standards and apply civil engineering theory to design, contract administration and construction practice. Landscape architects are employed for their vision and skill in transforming the spaces of everyday life, and in solving the real and serious environmental issues facing today's society. Landscape architecture brings together science, technology, art and design, in order to engage in a broad range of environmental design projects. These can involve urban design, transportation infrastructure, waterfronts and resorts, coastal, estuarine and in-land ecologies, and creating engaging and vibrant community and public spaces.

The Bachelor of Landscape Architecture is an internationally accredited professional programme that will prepare you for a creative practice in urban and environmental design anywhere in the world.

This program is an extension of the New Zealand Diploma of Interior Design (Residential) (which is also a prerequisite for this commercial program) and prepares you to develop your knowledge and extend your skills into commercial environments. If you’re looking to enter the commercial interiors industry or if you’re already working in this field and would like to hold the formal qualification, this is the program for you. Our industry-focused approach to learning interior design means that in addition to developing your necessary knowledge and skills in commercial interior design, we also integrate you into the industry. You’ll do this through practical learning, facilitated industry connections, working on actual client projects, guest speakers from industry, undertaking internships within specialist design practices, and much more.  This diploma will advance your technical knowledge and skills of CAD, consenting and documentation processes, products, materials, and lighting design in order to equip you to design for complex environments within the retail, hospitality, and workplace sectors.
