This work-integrated learning component comprises380 hours of work experience. You'll develop a multidisciplinary approach in context of cultural and ethical influences, enabling you to contribute to the creative industry solutions and outputs in New Zealand and around the world.

This program is designed for those in a management or supervisor role in the primary industry or those who have relevant experience and are ready to move into a management or supervisor role.

This qualification will provide you with the knowledge and skills to manage a wide range of primary industry business operations. This may include farming, horticulture, fishing, apiculture, and other similar activities.

Graduates will be capable of working in an independent management capacity.

The New Zealand Diploma in Cookery (Advanced) with strand in Cookery will provide you with the management and supervision skills to run a commercial kitchen and get real-world experience with work placement opportunities in local restaurants.

This one year culinary arts program will prepare you to take on a full range of managerial roles in a professional kitchen and advance your skills in:

Learn how to conduct and apply advanced assessment and intervention techniques to competitive athletes. Your studies also include planning a testing session for a group of competitive athletes (including risk management) and the application of sports strapping.

Applied Professional Practice: Strength and Conditioning 

Immerse yourself in structured industry environments so that you can independently apply and develop your knowledge and practical skill set in delivering structured training programmes to athletes. Your studies also include conducting a pilot research project and reporting on the effectiveness of your interventions on performance-related parameters.

If you have prior experience in beauty or have worked as a beauty therapist, advance your skills with UCOL's New Zealand Diploma in Beauty Therapy.

You'll gain the skills and knowledge to critically analyse clients’ needs, provide advanced beauty services, and manage the operations of a client base or small beauty therapy business.
