Engineering is all about taking a product or system and looking at how it can be improved, whether it is in the manufacturing, the design, or even the materials. Our new MEng Automotive Engineering course has been created to focus on project-based learning, allowing you to take your in-class theory and apply it in a hands-on project module that will run throughout the year.

You will study alongside other students in the various areas of mechanical engineering, specialising within automotive engineering in your final year and in certain modules throughout your course.

Our course leads you through computer based advanced design, simulation and modelling practice in various topics including computational engineering, fluid dynamics, stress analysis, and industrial management.

As a BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying student at ARU, you’ll learn how to financially manage construction projects from initial concept, through to design, build and maintenance.

Quantity surveyors play a vital role in deciding whether construction projects are financially viable. Once you’ve graduated, you’ll be able to register with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and start working as a chartered quantity surveyor. You have the option to study this course as a four-year degree with foundation year. In your first year you'll study with our partner, ARU College, on our Cambridge campus. In Years 2-4 you'll study in Chelmsford or ARU Peterborough.

Our BA (Hons) Montessori Early Childhood Studies degree is the right course for you if you’re interested in working in a Montessori and early years context. This first of its kind, this course will develop your knowledge, enabling you to become a competent Montessori teacher.

You’ll explore the Montessori method of education, focussing on the three elements of the Montessori Dynamic triangle: the child, the environment and the teacher.
