You’ll learn about strategy, human resources, operational management, finance and accounting, marketing, corporate reputation management, social entrepreneurship and enterprise, corporate social responsibility and investment, non-profit management and the management of culture, values and business ethics.

You’ll also apply the principles you learn to real-world scenarios. In your third year, for example, your final project involves working with major firms and enterprises to assess their engagement with social enterprise and corporate social responsibility. Develop a critical appreciation of public international law (the law between and about states), its principles, rules and the ever-changing context in which it operates. Our specialist master’s LLM is truly international, enabling you to learn about global governance, humanitarian law and human rights.

We aim to give you a full understanding of public international law. That is, the law governing the interaction of states and their impact on domestic law.

Your learning will cover how public international law affects subjects spanning from global governance and human rights, to transnational finance and investment, climate change, war and peace.

You can also choose from our International Politics modules to achieve a politically rounded view of law in our transnational world.

You will learn how to plan, research and complete a full-length manuscript in your chosen form (fiction, genre fiction, non-fiction) for potential publication.

We aim to give you a professional approach to editing, revising and critiquing creative work.

You will learn about the writing business, involving different forms and requirements of print and electronic publication, and the role of editors, agents and publishers. This includes how to present and advertise your creative work.

Our module on creative writing pedagogy offers a foundation for understanding how storytelling and creative writing can be taught in different educational settings.

Library Science is a broad, interdisciplinary field, the principles and practices of which underpin today's information society.

With an emphasis on the use of new and emergent technologies; information resource description and organization; methods of investigation and analysis; ethical, legal, and socio-political implications, and policy formulation, this course is an ideal foundation for a career in modern collection-based services.

Your peers on the Energy, Trade and Finance postgraduate course will be on average, 24, with a minimum 2.1 or equivalent bachelor’s degree. It’s likely you will have a few years’ work experience either through an internship of full-time employment. You needn’t have any prior knowledge of energy, commodities, shipping or finance, although you should be comfortable with quantitative methods (mathematics and statistics).

You’ll emerge from master's in energy, trade and finance course fully equipped to operate effectively in this highly competitive international energy industry. You’ll gain a solid foundation in energy economics, markets and trading, and be able to formulate strategy for fossil fuels, electricity and renewables. Your studies will encompass energy transportation, especially seaborne and are rounded off with extensive study of finance and financial markets and essential transferrable skills in accounting and IT. You can complement your core modules with optional modules and, if you wish, an independent research project.

The course is offered through the Costas Grammenos Centre for Shipping, Trade and Finance. The Centre is widely recognised and valued by practitioners and academics. Since the launch of the Centre in 1983, its three primary aims remain the same:

• Offer high quality teaching in its three interlinked disciplines of shipping, trade and finance
• Produce high quality research in these areas
• Create a forum for international dialogue between academia, industry and government and to link decision makers.
