Overview

At the heart of this course is an examination of authorship and storytelling. Through hands-on workshops, you'll develop skills like screen-printing, creative writing and bookbinding, while working on longer-term projects in your choice of media. In developing your understanding and articulating your own response to impactful cinematic storytelling, you’ll engage with the contexts of film culture while developing as a critically aware professional, ready to join our alumni in this fast-moving global industry.

You will:

  • Get networked, learning from our award-winning staff, together with visiting professionals taking part in masterclasses. In the last year, this has included Carol Morley, Jonathan Glazer, Rubi Shah, Dan Perri, Emily Morgan, Joel Collins and Kim Longinotto.
  • Develop gradually by learning through doing, engaging in reflective and imaginative thinking and using professional filmmaking production workflows on a course that's endorsed by ScreenSkills, the industry-led skills body for the creative industries.

Esports is a brand new and thriving field at the forefront of new media. With a focus on media production, livestreaming and teamworking, this course will prepare you to drive the future of this fast-evolving industry.

Working in a purpose-built esports studio within Falmouth's world-renowned Games Academy, you'll get hands-on experience of advanced livestreaming setups and broadcasts for esports events. Your practical work will be backed by a grounding in business, financial and legal considerations, marketing, branding, live events and games culture.

  • Produce livestreams to deliver esports matches to viewers in an engaging and informative way

Bachelor of Art (Hons) in Drawing

Falmouth is one of only a few UK universities to offer a bespoke drawing degree and is the ideal location to grow your skills and critical and contextual understanding of this exciting field of practice.
