Find your passion and pursue it. Investigate, experiment and specialise in all forms and industries including poetry, literature, children's fiction, non-fiction, screenwriting and digital games. You'll gain practical experience with our partners in publishing, literary festivals and professional writing, learning valued critical and technical skills.

You will:

• Design and run a student-led collaborative project as part of your third year. Previous projects have included producing illustrated anthologies, sitcoms and podcasts while working in collaboration with schools, charities and businesses
• Attend our guest lecture series, where you'll build relationships and contacts within all facets of the literary world.
• Participate in literary events, such as The London Book Fair and the North Cornwall Book Festival.
• Take inspiration from The Lighthouse (pictured above) – the glorious workspace at the heart of our community – which hosts everything from skills and craft workshops to board game sessions, literary quizzes and poetry readings
• Contribute your own work to Falwriting: our student-led online magazine
• Use our state-of-the-art Soundhouse and edit suites to record audience-ready productions.

You’ll learn to tell stories in an inventive and meaningful way, within a specialist facility, working with industry professionals. A focus on narrative, craft and practical making, alongside critical thinking, will help you develop the skills needed to succeed in the fast moving television industry.

You will:

• Work on professional commercial briefs with MAYN, our award-winning in-house creative agency. 
• Benefit from opportunities for industry-based placements and work experience. 
• Attend masterclasses, this year these have included showrunners, Emma Frost and Matthew Graham; directors Sam Masud, Stroma Cairns and Jon East, director of Killing Eve and Lost in Space; and Otto Bathurst, director of Black Mirror and Peaky Blinders.
• Have the opportunity to apply for The Hothouse, a placement with the acquisitions team at NBCUniversal in London.
• Study in a facility that's part of CILECT, the global association of the world's best film, television and animation schools.

Our academic team members are experienced practitioners, with broad industry backgrounds, who will teach you how to work collaboratively and take a creative approach to organising events, from cutting-edge fashion experiences and music festivals, to weddings, business events and product launches.

You will:

Organise at least four live events over the three-year course

• Study on one of the first courses in the world accredited by A Greener Festival

During this unique business degree you'll get the chance to collaborate with creatives from across the University, including students from our Launchpad business incubation programme, to proactively build your network.

You'll be able to immerse yourself in new ideas while learning theory and applying it to your own practice. You'll explore the social and environmental contexts of business, learn the art and science of building brands and collaborate with peers and professionals. You will be supported to take micro placements, engage with student-run businesses and potentially start your own enterprise.

You will:

• Build your business network through collaborative work with other students and external organisations

If you're stylistically eclectic and keen to experiment, this is the course for you. Whether you aspire to be a performer, composer, session musician, music educator, sound artist or to work in a mixture of these disciplines, we'll offer an insight into the modern music industries.

You will:

• Learn to play in a range of musical styles and genres, in a variety of professional contexts.
• Play regularly in ensembles, including session bands, vocal groups, contemporary music groups and laptop orchestras
• Benefit from guest speaker artists and ensembles. Recent visitors include Adrian Utley (Portishead), Graham Fitkin (composer), Kenny Werner (pianist), Ed O'Brien (Radiohead) and Kevos (ensemble).
• Have the chance to gain industry experience through a three-month placement or internship, from shadowing a professional composer or interning with a record label, to working with a professional orchestra.
•     Have the opportunity to take advantage of our prestigious international exchange partners, including CalArts (USA), Griffith University (Australia), LASALLE (Singapore) and Nagoya University (Japan).

You'll be taught by experts from the Games Academy and the School of Entrepreneurship, to help you become a daring computer scientist capable of leveraging scientific principles and cutting-edge technology to create new and compelling products and services.

You will:

• Get practical hands-on experience, doing a lot of computer programming and software engineering to build your own software
• Work on complex real-world problems set in partnership with industry and explore a range of market-led incubation opportunities identified by our RealWORKS employability team
• Advance your knowledge of computer science and computing technologies in a way that enables you to incorporate cutting-edge advances into the digital products and services you create
• Leverage user-centred design thinking in your system development lifecycles, taking advantage of our research strengths in this area
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary agile teams that span the Games Academy and the School of Entrepreneurship to realise projects with real commercial potential using approaches that mirror industry

From understanding global economies, big data and business strategy to learning to navigate uncertainty and developing responsive and ethical leadership skills, this course will give you the knowledge and confidence to lead the future of business.

• Develop a business plan based on an original idea
• Work on real-life challenges and take part in a range of work placements

You can choose a pathway in 2D, 3D or stop-motion and develop your own specialism, be that as a director, producer, animator, rigger, texture, concept or background artist. The course has a strong focus on teamwork, the perfect platform for a successful career in animation for film, TV and games.

You will:

• Study as part of a CILECT (The International Association of Film and Television Schools) film school
• Learn from staff with industry backgrounds and experience in film, children's TV, advertising and post-production
• Work in multi-skilled teams, reflecting industry practice
• Identify your strengths and develop your technical and creative knowledge through character animation, storytelling, concept
  art and software
• Hone your skills in stop motion and Computer Generated (CG) animation, working in professional-standard facilities

You'll learn how to create dynamic photography and moving image using alternative new media digital processes. You'll also have access to some of the most innovative equipment, including eight industry-sized studios, dark rooms, post- production suites and an incredibly well- equipped photography resource centre.
