Our course looks at research in child psychology, focusing on the advanced study of psychological development in children and the implications of psychological theory and research for policy and practice.

Areas of expertise include: reading development in blind children; phonological awareness and letter knowledge in reading development; bullying; the development of biological at-risk children (very pre-term); children's regulatory problems (crying, feeding, sleeping) and ADHD; autism, face processing and ‘Theory of Mind'; language development; pre-verbal infant cognitive, social and emotional development; and development of numerical abilities.

You'll gain an understanding of the fundamentals of media, 2D and 3D computer graphics, programming, motion graphics, UX design and visual effects.

You'll create sophisticated media-based products, such as animations, moving graphics, compositing, 3D modelling, texturing, lighting, interactive web content and filming. Through option modules, you'll be able to pursue your chosen specialism.

The Computer Animation postgraduate degree equips you with the creative skills and technical knowledge needed for jobs in the CGI, games, and VFX industries.

With an emphasis on industry-relevant workflows, our project-based curriculum is designed to teach you specialist skillsets in the 3D production pipeline. Underpinned by core concepts and visual narrative, these specialisms include:

With a full programme of workshops and critical study, this Creative Writing MA offers you the chance to work on your own writing in different genres with the support of published practitioners.

The Writers' Workshop module will encourage you to develop your writing 'voice' through engagement with fellow students across a range of genres (in fiction or creative non-fiction), while the Special Study module enables you to specialise in one genre, such as fiction, non-fiction, poetry or drama.

This course is an ideal preparation for a career in public health nutrition and the food industry. You'll have the opportunity to study abroad and gain a career head start through a year's industrial placement.

This course examines food science, biochemistry, physiology, pharmacology, immunology and microbiology. You'll study contemporary topics in nutrition such as genetic modification, fortification and supplementation and nutraceuticals. You'll also look at nutrition's links to health and disease, in both developed and developing countries.

Through an independent project, you'll be able to research a subject of interest (such as public health and clinical nutrition, food science and the role of specific compounds in food).

This course, one of a suite of digital media courses, enables you to study professional digital media practice in a microstudio environment with a focus on the design skills necessary for the field of games development. Through a student-centred, project-based curriculum, you will work as a games designer to develop your specialist skills while working as part of an interdisciplinary team with students from across the full programme.

Quantity surveyors play a key role in the construction industry, ensuring that development costs are appropriately and accurately managed. Kingston University is a long-established Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors partnership university, and this course will equip you with the skills and knowledge to start you on a career that offers enormous scope for team working, travel and financial rewards.

Whatever your first degree, this course will help you apply your skills and abilities to the quantity surveying profession. Through project and team work, you will develop knowledge and understanding of procurement, construction contracts, construction economics and cost planning. This course offers you an understanding of how the economy and the financial system are connected. Through a distinctive, pluralist approach, the course examines both traditional and alternative theories and their real-life applications.

You'll explore the interplay of financial markets, instruments, and institutions, as well as their impact on the economy. You'll develop many skills that are highly valued by employers. These include analytical, numerical, data analysis and problem-solving skills, and the use of specialist statistical software.

The philosophy of the Environmental Management MSc programmes centres on the need for new environmental professionals: people with a strong cross-disciplinary understanding of the societal, economic, and environmental challenges posed by the emerging sustainable environmental management agenda.
