Explore criminal behaviour, policing and criminal justice, and cultivate a deeper understanding of our current responses to crime on this qualifying law degree.

The course is recognised by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and the Bar Standards Board as meeting the academic requirements of your legal training, and completion will enable you to undertake further study in order to become a solicitor or barrister.

• Develop the scientific foundation required to undertake a PhD qualification in biomedical sciences and related areas
• Work solely on an extended research project from January to September
• Be supported by staff from our Centre for Biomedical Science Research as you develop your practical expertise to an advanced level
• Have a wide variety of research options to choose from within molecular biology, microbiology, pharmacology and biochemistry
• Gain transferable skills, including science communication and promoting yourself as a scientist, guided by staff who have featured in print, TV and on radio as biomedical science experts

This is the only course in the UK to offer a combination of transpersonal, psychoanalytic and critical approaches to psychology. You will explore ways of understanding the self as an open, evolving project that develops through interaction. This reflects developments at the leading edge of psychology, drawing upon insights from the history of human exploration of the self.

On this largely theoretical course, you will explore the relationship between psychology and cultural studies, philosophy, theology and social science. You will develop your understanding of different research methods and explore the use of language and the construction of meaning in real-world situations.

As part of this course, you’ll:

• Specialise your study through one of two distinct routes - Early Years and Children & Young People
• Choose the Early Years route if you want to focus on applying a critical lens to young children's education and care within a variety of settings
• Choose the Children & Young People route if you’re interested in focusing on critically examining concepts, contexts and practice related to childhood
• Recognise and champion every child. Using the latest research you’ll explore the theoretical and conceptual terrain of childhood to inform and develop your own practice
• Study modules designed to highlight the importance of the child's voice and children's participation

As part of this course, you’ll:

• Develop the range of skills you’ll need to be able to undertake construction management positions
• Study the legal, financial and economic environments in which the industry operates
• Understand the other professions involved in building
• Gain an overview of the whole construction process, including surveying, quantity surveying and architectural technology
• Learn to use commercial awareness and professional managerial knowledge in managing contracts within specified quality, cost and schedule boundaries
• Understand responsibilities associated with managing site operations, including those concerning the commissioners of a development, direct employees, subcontractors, the public and agents of regulatory and other authorities

As part of this course you’ll:

• Experiment with painting, performance, installation, photography, drawing, printmaking, animation, digital processes and other media
• Taught by nationally and internationally recognised artists and practitioners, who will help you to develop your artistic identity
• Participate in seminars, collaborative on and off-site activities and live curatorial projects
• Exhibit your projects to the public and impress industry by exhibiting your work at the end of your final year
