Suitable if you have a relevant degree such as psychology, linguistics or English Language, this course will empower you to diagnose speech and language problems in babies, children and adults, and design and deliver life-changing treatment plans for those with cleft palate, stammering, hearing impairments, voice disorders and other conditions.

You will learn through a combination of seminars, lectures and practice-based learning, amassing more than 500 hours of professional experience on placements in various clinical or community settings.

Your masters programme will offer a more critical application of your learning than at undergraduate level, and the chance to engage in an extended project that you could showcase as part of your professional portfolio.

Upon graduation, you will be eligible to apply for HCPC registration as a speech and language therapist. You will have the expertise to work in a multidisciplinary team and provide the best possible care for your clients.

• Explore a range of contemporary issues within geography and environmental science such as remote sensing, natural hazard management, energy and environmental governance, climate adaptation, GIS and specialist technical field work

As part of your course you’ll:

• Apply the fundamentals of design theory to game art and related visual media
• Develop practical 2D/3D visualisation and compositional skills
• Establish your practice in the form of a personal portfolio
• Understand the application of critical studies in relation to game art and what is required when working on the production of digital assets within game engine and visualisation technologies
• Undertake personal, detailed academic and practical research in relation to your specialised subject area
• Validate your creative process through your dissertation and portfolio of work

This course will allow you to become a qualified youth and community worker, increasing your employment opportunities in this rapidly changing field. It is validated by the National Youth Agency.

You will participate in a rich and culturally diverse teaching and learning environment and undertake two challenging placements, enabling you to apply your knowledge and hone your practical skills. During your studies, you will critically engage with the tensions and challenges of current practice, build a sophisticated knowledge of effective management approaches, debate how youth work and community development has responded to shifting government policies and learn how to support inclusive practice that can inspire positive social change.

This course has been designed on the principles which promote social justice, and challenge injustice and inequality. Alongside the taught modules, you will be able take advantage of our professional development programme, which offers the chance to explore and understand recent developments in the field, exchange experiences with colleagues and practitioners and learn from one another. You will also gain an understanding of how to conduct research as a practitioner, and undertake an in-depth dissertation study.

Through a combination of teaching and group work of placement experience in a variety of health and social care settings, this course will challenge your problem-solving and practical skills.

This course is accredited by the Royal College of Occupational Therapists and is a World Federation of Occupational Therapists Approved Education Programme. Your curriculum will reflect the standards required by the Royal College of Occupational Therapists.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will support people to manage a range of health and social challenges. These can include these can include enabling someone to go back to work following a period of depression, play sport following a head injury, or helping children with autism play games.

The social care sector is growing. It gives you employment opportunities working with children, young people and families.

You’ll be given the chance to undertake an international volunteering placement in your second and third years. Previous students have volunteered in India, South Africa, Finland and the US, working with people from diverse and disadvantaged backgrounds.

You'll share modules with students from related courses. This helps you to learn about the different areas of social science. It also teaches you how specific environments and situations are handled.
