As a philosophy student you will be joining a hub of research-active philosophers with local, national and international impact, with many of them being invited to present at major international conferences and workshops. Our LLM in Legal Practice at the Bar brings together the essential practical skills and knowledge from our Bar Training Course (BTC) and masters-level legal research skills that can help you stand out in a competitive jobs market.

Everything about the BTC element of the course is built to prepare you for life as a barrister. You'll work with other students in a mini chambers group, designed to mirror the real-life practices you'll face in a career at the bar. You’ll further prepare for the demands of the Bar with our innovative professional practice unit, under the mentorship of a practising barrister.

Meanwhile, the LLM advanced study element offers the chance for you to deepen your knowledge in a specialist area of the law.

BA Architecture is an innovative collaboration between Manchester Metropolitan University and The University of Manchester.

The course, which is appraised by the Architects Registration Board (ARB) and the Royal Institute for British Architects (RIBA), allows you to take the first step to becoming an architect.

BA (Hons) Fine Art is a studio-based program that provides students with the platform to confidently enter the professional world of the artist and arts professional. Students will actively investigate universal approaches and practices in contemporary fine art that will test their knowledge, creativity and understanding. The program is taught by professional artists that are actively engaged in contemporary practice and will therefore will encourage students to explore the broader social, political and community context to define a personal mode of study that will equip them to continue their development post-degree.

The wide range of teaching approaches, facilities and opportunities will support students to acquire skills and varied methodologies that allow them to either specialise or engage with a pluralistic approach to exploring fine art.  The diversity of content creates a distinctive group of students that engage with and question a divergent range of approaches to studio practice and externally engaged projects.

Students also have the opportunity to develop their practice within an international context through the international exchange program, national and international study trips and the acquisition of foreign language skills.
